Sprint Series of Texas Invades Cowtown Speedway 7/18

Kennedale TX (7/13/09) by DarinShort.com. The only 2009 visit for the Sprint Series of Texas (SST) invades Cowtown Speedway this coming Saturday, July 18th. The series was originally scheduled to race at Cowtown in March, but was wiped out by the weather. Fans can expect a field of about 30 winged sprint cars to take on the wide ¼ mile hi-banks.

Joining the SST will be the lightning fast Winged 600’s, Limited Modifieds, Street Stocks and always exciting Bombers. And for the night cap, a Street Stock Powder Puff race will round out the racing card.

Action kicks off Saturday with hot laps around 6:30pm and the first green flag is scheduled to drop at 7pm. Regular admission prices of $12 for adults, $5 for youth and $2 for kids will be in effect. Pit passes are $25.

Online grandstand tickets can be purchased in advance at the track website, www.CowtownSpeedway.com and there is no added fee for online payments.

Have a great week and we look forward to seeing you this Saturday night at the Fastest Li’l Dirt Track In Texas, Cowtown Speedway!

Friday afternoon update:

The track received some welcomed rain overnight that will help build the moisture base in the track.

There is another chance for rain primarily overnight and into Saturday morning (40%) before the rain chances diminish going into late Saturday afternoon and evening.

Everything is still scheduled as planned at this point for Saturday night's races. If there are any changes that develop, just click www.CowtownSpeedway.com for the latest in news.

Have a great weekend, it's going to be a nice break from the triple-digit heat!

Saturday morning update:

Precip did develop overnight - but it went to the west of the track, so it had no effect on today's races.

There is a slight chance of t-storms this afternoon, but it's looking to be a great day for racing with temps at race time in the 80's!

Remember you have until 4pm today to purchase your tickets online if you'd rather pay by credit card than cash when you arrive at the gate. Just click www.cowtownspeedway.com for more info.

Have a great weekend and if your plans include Cowtown Speedway, you're sure to have a great night of affordable family fun!
