Kennedale TX (6/24/09) by DarinShort.com. Cowtown Speedway will pull out all the stops and have a night of fun and action worthy of July 4th event status, with the running of the Independence Day Cup on July 4th.

Drivers that night will be racing for added purse money, and, in place of trophies for feature wins, feature winning drivers will each receive a special Independence Day Cup award from Cowtown Speedway.

Cowtown Speedway is known for their large and professional fireworks displays - as will be the case with this special event. Fans can expect to see a great show.

And with Cowtown situated 'at the top of the Metroplex,' you can get a good view of many of the other fireworks displays going on throughout the area as the night go on.

The fireworks are sponsored in part by: Property Catastrophe Specialist, NTWindow.com, TheEntertainmentCompany.com, Robby Fox Drywall, Truck & Trailer Services and AndyHogan.com. Please make sure to thank those sponsors, which allows the track to put on such a huge fireworks display.

Adult tickets are $15, with kids $2 and youth $5. Advance tickets are also available the week of the race at the track website at no additional fee. Pit passes are $30. Hot laps are around 6:30pm with races at 7pm.

Classes running for the Independence Day Cup are the Cowtown Modifieds, Winged Modifieds, Street Stocks, Winged 600's, Bombers and Limited Modifieds.

Right now the weather looks to be great for this Saturday's Independence Day Cup at Cowtown Speedway, with temps in the mid-90's at race time and dry conditions forecasted.
