Ocean Speedway Launches New Sprint Car Website

Watsonville, CA (June 24, 2009) – Ocean Speedway is proud to announce the launch of the new Sprint Car website titled www.oceansprints.com. The website is solely dedicated to its fast growing ground-pounding Sprint Car Division.

Race fans, teams, and sponsors will now have instant access to all of the news pertaining to the GLR Investments 360 Sprint Car Series at their finger tips. The website is in its infant stages, but will eventually be filled with an abundance of pertinent information regarding the series.

The intention of the website is not to take away from www.oceanspeedway.com but for both websites to join together and become an additional source of information for the racing community. Super fan Lance Jennings, who is the proprietor of www.scrafan.com has worked tirelessly on the website, and all of us from Ocean Speedway appreciate all of his hard work and dedication.

We would also thank all of you, for all of your support shown toward Ocean Speedway and the GLR Investments 360 Sprint Car Series.

thank you's are indeed in order for those involved. thank you lance for the great new site, also you Costa for taking an interest and stepping up to the plate to spread information about the series. i am sure there are those less well known but no less important that deserve thanks as well. there would be no need for this site with out the efforts of the teams who participate and the fans who support them. it has been said that those of us that race would do so in front of empty seats because we just love to race. that may be true, but it is much more fun to be able to entertain people at the same time. it is nice to be able to bring what ever skills or talents we have and put them to use while letting people get out and enjoy themselves. so thanks to the fans that have provided enough support to warrent the creation of this new site.

from rick wright floating an idea to john prentice and Wright One Construction backing the start of the 360 series at ocean. to GLR Investments coming on board and providing the backing to continue without skipping a beat. to jennings and costa and stu providing info and hype, this series has continued to not only hold it's popularity but in fact increase to the point where it was felt that a new site could be supported. i hope this is just the next step in the growth and in the interest of what is now known as the GLR 360 series. i hope everyone reading this, who can provide some type of support, from the fan in the stands to race teams to sponsers, will do so and continue to do so. not only for our series, but for all local tracks and series where ever you may live.

the management and staff at ocean speedway and all the sponsers deserve a great amount of thanks as well. without their time and efforts and ideas and finacial support there would not be the calibur of racing that we all enjoy in watsonville.
