Hurley Racing makes it 2 in a row pulling off the hat trick with a heat, dash & feature win. The "Hustler" started on the pole of his heat & jumped out to the early lead & never looked back. Jimmy kept the good luck going in the dash pill draw pulling out the #1 pill & starting on the pole of the dash. Hurley would once again jump out to the lead but saw the red flag fly on the first circuit in a terrifying accident that saw a fellow competitor flip off the track & hit 2 spectators. When the dash resumed the Springfield, IL talent set sail to a dash victory that gave him another pole position in the main event. The "High Side Hustler" would once again take the early lead in the feature & wouldn't get challenged in the 25 lap affair that went green to checker. Hurley put on a thrilling show for the fans but it was a bittersweet victory for the entire Hurley Racing team. After the feature the driver of the #35 Action Graphix, Miles Chevrolet Maxim Chassis learned that his friend lost his life in the tragic accident that took place during the dash. Hurley exited the car & said that it's hard to celebrate a victory knowing that a good friend & someone who has helped him since the beginning of his racing career wouldn't be there after race, he went on to dedicate the win to Dennis. Hurley racing would like to send their thoughts & prayers out to the family & friends of Dennis & also wish the rest involved a speedy recovery. "The Hustler" also said the crew really has the car figured out now & was real fast all night, it started getting tight at the end of the race but was overall pleased with the handling. The 25 year old Springfield, IL native Jimmy Hurley will be back in action Friday night at Morgan County Speedway & then will head south to Farmington, Mo.
