(3-6-07) Four time All Star Champion and 2006 World of Outlaw Rookie of the Year,
Chad Kemenah is currently looking for a ride in a 410 winged sprint car to
continue racing with the World of Outlaws. Chad had been running with the
series in 2007 for owner Pete Grove, but the owner has ceased operations for
the team due to lack of funds. Initially Grove had committed to racing the
entire year with the World of Outlaws but is unable to fulfill that
commitment.
Chad brings with him a wealth of experience in winged sprint car racing and
would welcome any and all opportunities at this time or possible
sponsorship. Please contact him at 419-894-6054 (home) or 419-348-2222
(mobile).
Former Owner/President of FAST and Black Swamp Media
Group. Currently just another fan in the stands.

Gee, out of funds after 6 races?
You'd think that Chad would have checked this out a little bit better before he agreed to this deal......
Seems to me that Pete has quit a few times over the past several years....

I had a bad feeling when I first read about Chad hooking up with the Grove #70 car. Pete seems to never run a full season of anything and it comes true again. I'm sure Chad was well aware of how Pete has operated in the past, but sponsorship and rides are few and far between. I see that Chad was NOT running Kistler motors as he has done for many years, (I believe he was one of the first to use Kistler power?) and it seemed that they were lacking in horsepower by looking at the qualifying times and results so far this season. Chad has always been a good qualifier, even as a rookie last year on tour for the first time. Maybe I'm crazy, but I have a hunch that engines may have had something to do with it.

Too bad this deal had to fall apart. Let's hope something materializes for the Kemenahs.

Boy that was not what I was expecting I figured we would see some teams drop out early like maybe Brian Carlson or Chad Hillier or somebody of that nature not Kemenah.

Absolutley nothing against Chad, but I called that one.
I opened a thread after the 1st or 2nd race asking for the suprise car to drop from the Tour and my pick was Kemenah. I just had a feeling that Grove would not run the entire season. I think if I remember correctly a couple of people thought I was an idiot for thinking that Kemenah would drop off Tour, who's the idiot now?

Something was missing with this car, Chad certainly didn't look like the Chad of old. This is not the 1st time Groves has done this. I guess Chad had nothing else going & decided he had nothing to lose. Good 410 rides are far & few.

I don't know the Grove team personally, but it does seem like the driver's seat in their car has been a revolving door over the years. I've seen them around Ohio/Michigan a handful of times, and they were not a top-notch car by any means.
Unfortunately for Chad, this isn't a big surprise.

I was afraid of this happening as soon as I heard about Chad running that car. Sure hope he finds a ride. Keep yer chin up Chad & Brian, you're too good to be bystanders for long.
