This event was scheduled for 5/16, but was rained out. The entire promotion will be held on June 27 just as it was scheduled on 5/16.

Here's the original press release:

Just in time for the Cowtown ASCS Sprint special 5/16, Palm Harbor Homes has their new track-ready mobile display ready to go for their first track promotion!

We're going to be doing a lot of fun things throughout the night and if you'd like to see a preview by clicking
www.lang14.com/denhome.html for a picture of the mobile unit.

Think the 50/50 promo could easily lead to a dizzying amount, possibly $750 to even $1000 or more before the night is over with!

How wild would it be if you walked up to their display, signed up for the Palm Harbor/Lang14.com racing email club, you get handed a free 50/50 ticket, Palm Harbor then adds $1 to the 50/50 jackpot (for each sign up), plus you receive a free full-size brand new Lang14.com autograph card; then later in the evening you walk out of Cowtown with a cool 'G' in your pocket?!

It's very possible to happen; as the other side of their promo is that if you purchase $20 in 50/50 tickets at their display, they will add $20 to the 50/50 drawing...but you'll also receive the brand new Lang14.com t-shirt FREE, plus the autograph card to boot.

Plus 25 of the email club registrants will receive a free Lang14.com t-shirt, plus 5 more will be given away as runner-up prizes in the 50/50 drawing.

But one thing is for sure, it's going to be a lot of fun for the fans at Cowtown on Saturday night, and special thanks to Palm Harbor Homes for their support of sprint car racing and racing at Cowtown Speedway!

For more info on Palm Harbor Homes please click
www.PalmHarbor.com and if you type in 'lang14' in the 'search the site' box, you will find a special offer just for Cowtown teams and fans!

As a build up to the Palm Harbor Homes promotion on June 27, the Marketing Director for Palm Harbor has a nice interview with Michael Lang posted.

If you'd like to see the video, please click www.lang14.com/video.html (and it's the first video listed).

And please click www.racing.palmharbor.com for more on Palm Harbor Homes racing.

Thanks again to Palm Harbor Homes for their support of short track racing!

It could easily be YOU!

Here's a quick summary of the Palm Harbor Homes promotion Saturday night:

1. You enter the grandstand entrance Saturday night. (People going to the pits ARE ALL WELCOME too.)

2. You go to the Palm Harbor display area and sign up for their free racing email club by simply providing your email address and name.

The weather currently shows 97 degrees with a 9mph breeze out of the south at race time, and 89 at 11pm. And it's going to be dry.

Dress light and stay hydrated, and you're sure to have a great time. Last Saturday was about the same temp and after 7pm was just fine in the stands.

Remember, non-glass containing coolers no larger than 14"x14" are allowed in at no additional charge.

It's going to be exciting to see what the final tally becomes for tonight's 50/50 drawing and who wins it...a fan or a driver! It could easily rise to over $1,000!

SATURDAY - NOON:

If you are coming to Kennedale today/tonight, there is a major crash on I-20, apparently from early this morning, but:

I-20 IS SHUTDOWN FROM GREAT SW PARKWAY to NEAR 287.

Michelle just called me and said it's complete gridlock - with no signs of it changing any time soon. People are even abandoning cars on the freeway it's so bad.

TO AVOID:

Take I-30 to 820S to get to the track if you are coming from points to the East of Kennedale, as it may not be cleaned up by racetime!
