Dewease, Rahmer and Hodnett stick around here because they are making more money than they could on the road. If Dewease ever gets offered a good Outlaw ride...he'll bite. Same for Hodnett I'm sure. The Posse races more nights a year than the Outlaws as it is. We have a ton of big races. We invert twelve. This is a mecca for all kinds of local talent... drivers, mechanics, fabricators, engine builders, etc. Many of which as you said have been involved in racing decades... All are good reasons why many Outlaw teams dread coming to Central PA.
I didn't dispute why Rahmer, Dewease and Hodnett stick around, nor do I bash their decision. I just didn't like the "born and bred" statement.
Outlaw drivers- Best sprint car drivers in the country, no fan in PA would dispute that, not even BRR
Posse- Best local racers in the country, PERIOD!
I didnt see many drivers in Florida that run Knoxville on a weekly basis, or Fremont, or Attica or any track that runs in California for that matter. Sure you might have had one or two drivers from these tracks but the Posse sent no less then a dozen drivers to race with the best in the business, so Mikes argument that the Posse travels less just doesnt hold water. Bad results or not, they were still there!
Coachbob, Who currently leads the All-Star points?
As for stats, I keep records and buy programs and have only missed 2 WOO shows in PA (excluding Lernerville) the last 15 years and that includes Port Royal and Grandview. Over the past 3 years , the Posse have won at a 50% clip, FACT! Not one year, the past 3! That has knocked the Woo winning percentage down to about 65% which means the locals are still winning at a 35% clip. Currently, Only 2 WOO regulars have more then 2 career wins at Williams Grove and its pretty easy to figure out who they are. To win a WOO event at the Grove everything has to go your way from an early pill drill to an easy heat without so many heavy hitters. That may change now that the format is different. Bottom line, the Posse will still win their share of the events at Williams Grove when the WOO its town. Take the bet BRR
Mike: I get it, Knoxville drivers took to the road to polish their skills. PA drivers choose to stay home and race for a living. The key word their is CHOOSE!
Go Brian/Cris!
it' a long haul for the cali guys to go to florida when they are getting ready to run in ca. not so far from pa.
Always an interesting debate that never seems to end....but what the heck...it is good reading all around. I guess the old saying "to each is there own" doesn't really mean crap to anyone.
I'll take our local racing any night of the week over any racing, touring circus, in the country, period!!
I have heard and read what the touring drivers have to say about our locals, not the tracks, and that is good enough for me. Their opinions I can respect..!!!

Cubic: Who are these Outlaws wannabess in other places around the country?
Since MSPN is so hung up on staying on the porch... An Outlaw wannabe is what Dewease would have been if he would have taken some of the mid-pack Outlaw rides he's been offered over the years instead of staying here in PA in top notch equipment. Ask Hodnett as well. The reasons to stay on the porch far outnumber those for getting off of it until some lucky car owner out there decides it's time they want to really start winning some races on the national scene. After living all these years in the trenches fighting the twelve car inversion day in day out some of our guys are prime.
They don't even know how to spell sprint car
much less chromoly...http://www.ycmco.com
boy for a state that does not have a dog in the national touring fight you pa guys sure like to bark. didn't some one post the stats of what percent of the outlaw races contested at pa tracks were won by outlaw vs. pa drivers? and if they didn't i'm sure someone could find out. but then the pa people would say that there were more pa guys in the top 10 in the main or that there were more pa guys in the top 5 qualifing or there were more pa guys in the pits or there were more pa guys picking thier noses or some thing. it is true that the pa drivers are good and that they run right with the outlaws. but why has not one pa driver less maybe stevie smith made a name for himself on the national tour? all i hear are a bunch of reasons why they havn't or a bunch of if's. well if my aunt would have had balls she would have been my uncle and i bet she would still out drive half the pa guys. if her high heels didn't fall off the pedals. geeeeeeezzzz.

The Posse runs good ANYWHERE. They win races in Florida. They win at Knoxville and Osky. They win at Charlotte. They win at every track around here...Erdley and Dewease beat the NST at Selinsgrove and Susky last year along with our guys manhandling the Outlaws at the Grove. Our race teams also run strong at Port, Hagerstown, Grandview and during the New York swing. That's why the Posse fills in the top ten in the 410 DOY poll each year.
Many of our drivers are Outlaw caliber... The only reason someone like Dewease isn't on the road is because he hasn't been offered a good enough ride to make it worth his while yet. Same for Lincoln Speedway, an Outlaw show isn't worth their while for the sanction fee the Outlaws are asking....
The long and the short of it is... History shows that OUTLAW KILLERS are born and bred in Central PA... not just OUTLAW WANNABEES like most other places around the country.
Anywhere? LOL! What's their record at Eldora? Keep talkin........

Anyway, I tried to post the chart but it wouldn't work.
Rahmer, Hodnett, Kreitz, and Lynch have combined for only 5 Top ten finishes in 22 made King's Royal Features. That isn't counting the times that they ran but didn't make the feature. The number would look more like 5 for 32. I couldn't count the great Lance Dewease b/c he's never made a Royal feature. Now BRR and Cubic, if you want to add in all of your Posse members over the years go ahead, but it will only make you look more foolish b/c that awesome percentage will continue to diminish. LOL!

If it wouldn't work then where in the hell did I get it!
where are the Knoxville and Ohio locals on your chart? or are you cherry picking charts that show, ahem...LOCALS HAVE NO CHANCE AGAINST THE WoO?
if that is the case, avoid Posse Soil!
i recall that your head cheerleader said this before you all fell into squalor: By the way, over the years the Knoxville regulars have done a much better job on the Outlaws vs. your Posse boys.
Lincoln 1845 ft/.35 mile T1=118MPH
Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH
