(Bill W) Knoxville Raceway welcomes its fans, including those from Pella Corporation this Saturday night as the stars of the dirt come out to shine once again at the Sprint Car Capital of the World! The action has been “off the hook” so far this season. Last week’s 410 main event was no different as “Hollywood” Johnny Herrera had to hold off National Sprint Car Hall of Famer Sammy Swindell in the final turns to gain his third feature win of the season! Herrera leads a stout field in the point’s race heading into Saturday.

Lynton Jeffrey has had a strong season. The transplanted Aussie, who now lives in Prairie City is second in the standings. Even though Terry McCarl will miss a few nights this year, he has proven to be a force each night and is expected to compete for his first 2009 Knoxville win on Saturday.

Others expected to be on a throttle producing 900 horsepower are 2007 track champion, “Blackjack” Brian Brown, Don Droud JrDon Droud Jr., “Zoom Zoom” Dusty Zomer, “Dynamite” Mark Dobmeier, 2006 track champion “Tornado” Billy Alley, two-time track champion Skip “Action” Jackson and Bronson Maeschen. “The Mad Man” Kerry Madsen and Wayne JohnsonWayne Johnson are just a pair of other talented drivers expected to tangle on Saturday night!

The 360 class will be back in action this weekend as well. Even though point leader Clint Garner was off last weekend, his car was not. Swindell drove it to the Masters Classic championship. Others expected include Ryan Roberts, May 23 winner Bryan Dobesh, rookie Chad HumstonChad Humston, Gregg Bakker, Jon Agan, Brett Mather, Johnny AndersonJohnny Anderson, Jonathan Cornell and Tom LenzTom Lenz.

In addition the 305 sprints will run a full program, setting up a sprint car tripleheader!

Does anyone know a smart kid that could stop by my house and get my media player working?

I had a computer with xp that worked fine. Hard drive stopped and I bought a new gateway with vista. I can't get the media player to stream live. I can get knia/krls to work, but it looks like they've got something a little different going on.

Microsoft forums say I might need a new operating system re-install. I can build a sprint car from the ground up, but I don't think I should be wiping anything clean on my computer!

Any suggestions or anyone else run into this? I'd love to listen to HH radio.

Right and right. We started as American Dirt Network back in 2004, then changed the name to Hoseheads Radio at the beginning of 2008. We found that not many people knew what "American Dirt Network" was, so Allan Holland and I worked out an agreement that allowed us to use the Hoseheads name. Much better branding this way and it has REALLY helped our exposure to fans around the world. EVERYONE in sprint car racing knows the "Hoseheads" name, then you put the word "radio" behind it, now it becomes self-explanitory.

The 5 years I mention is the number of years Knoxville Raceway has allowed us to webcast their events. I can't thank all involved with that enough. It's been AWESOME.

Hope you enjoy what we do HALF as much as we enjoy bringing it to you fans in Hoseheads Nation.

Hoseheads Radio is experiencing some technical difficulties at this time. They are working on it but it may be a little while. In the meantime, please stay with us at www.knoxvilleraceway.com under Results and we'll get you as much info as possible.

Yes I am having problems also, I know I listened earlier in the year but the last 2 weeks I cannot get hosehead radio to work. When I am at the hosehead radio main page and click on "listen live" and nothing happens, I shut off the pop-up blocker and that didn't help. I ran across this problem before but cannot figure it out now, not sure if the kids made a setting change on the puter for media or what. Any suggestions? Thanks
