Last Friday saw the Goldesberry Motorsports #65 competing in the Hawkeye State with the Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders at Columbus Junction Raceway. A second place finish in the Golden Eagle Distributing first heat race put Jordan in the Modern Welding Shake Up Dash, where the 18 year old Springfield racer finished 6th. After racing up to as high as 4th place in the feature, the 2007 SIA Rookie of the Year fought tire wear, ultimately bringing the Goldesberry Signs and Designs/Fibertech Racing/Performance Truck Accessories #65 home in 6th.
After the team headed back to Illinois to swap out the Wessmar 360 for their 410 Don Ott engine, Goldesberry competed Sunday with the O'Reilly Midwest All Star Series at Quincy Raceway. After timing in 8th place in the 21 car field, Jordan finished 6th in his heat. Starting the feature from inside the 7th row, Jordan got caught up in an opening lap incident with Jerrod Hull and Kris Spitz. Restarting tailback on the field, the Springfield speedster roared back to salvage a 10th place finish.
This weekend will see the team head to the Buckeye State to compete with the All Star Circuit of Champions on Saturday at Eldora Speedway.
