June is almost here and that means one thing to the race fans of the Pacific NorthWest....

DIRT CUP!

Skagit Speedway is getting ready for the 38th running of the Jim Raper Memorial Dirt Cup presented by Van's Equipment. With a purse of $150,000 and $25,000 to the winner it's easy to see why the fans and the racers are getting excited. Track owner Steve Beitler commented "There is a lot of excitement about Dirt Cup this year. Our pre sale of tickets are up from last year and we have a lot of new cars that have said they are coming this year". The Dirt Cup week kicks of Wednesday June 17th with the ever popular 'Haggen Food Dirt Cup Party' in Burlington and then 3 solid nights of racing June 18-20. For tickets call 360-724-3567, more info at www.skagitspeedway.com

Brian do they have entry forms yet or are they doing that this year? I can't remember if we downloaded them or received them in the mail in the past.

Looking forward as always to racing up there.

Linda

It will be fun seeing my Cali friends again to

Steve told me about the ticket sells so far and there better than years past

Also I have a room down at the Cook Road exit; little better shower LOL

Jason Solwold (two wins so far); Shane Stewart (raced a few times alraedy this year here) have already won races this year at Skagit so who knows what will take place. Jesse Whitney has won twice and won TT award 4 times so far

I'm ready for what will take place it will be four days of fun I know Smile

Might be a change in #38 car Jason Bloodgood had a little problem last week with his ankle and Chad Hillier might be in that car for Dirt Cup (stay tune for that one )

My car is still near death and I don't trust it enough to take it any further than Cottage Grove, OR or northern Idaho, but I should be able to make it to Dirt Cup still as I now live only 30 miles from Skagit Speedway. wink I'll see everyone there...
