Tom Maclaren passed away Monday May25th at his home in Oxnard, CA. He is survived by his wife Shirley and their two daughters. Services will be held Thursday May 28th at 11:00am at James A. Reardon-Payton Mortuary at 511 North A Street in Oxnard. The family has requested no flowers.
Most of today's racers at Ventura Raceway may know Tom as the "old photographer with a limp" who took a few pictures from outside the turn four fence or who hung out at the Kruseman pit throughout the night at Ventura. Tom also spent many years shooting photos of out heroes at Ascot.
Rest In Peace My Friend.

Very sorry to hear this. When I first picked up a camera at Ascot around 1977, Tom, along with John Estopellan, Mike Arthur and Owen Richards, was among the first people I met. Tom was a great guy who always enjoyed a good laugh. R.I.P. Friend.
