Actually, this does pertain to sprint car racing as our all-time favorite hockey expert from the North stated a short time ago that if the Pens won the Stanley Cup he would walk naked down HWY 92 into Knoxville for the Nationals. Just wondering if he was only kidding or if he is going to visit us for the Nationals this year!! Looking forward to
seeing him here again. Maybe not quite like that but it is coming down to the wire. Will he make good on his st atement??? Only time will tell.
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

He can't call "Just Kidding" now. It's way too late for that.
His original quote was: "I take solace in the fact that the Penguins aren't going anywhere tho' and am prepared to eat some crow if they make the finals and will walk to the Nationals nekid if they win the cup."

Sure hope you got a good pair of walking shoes. Pick your charity (no, the Flyers don't count, but they sure could use some charity) and start getting sponsors to donate for your little excursion.
Ya know, maybe Mike is just an exhibitionist to begin with and he just made that comment knowing that the Pens would win the Cup.

Thank you. Looks like they made the finals so crow pie is in order and the long walk might just be a matter of time. I would be ok if instead of walking nekid he could wear a Sidney Crosby jersey. What do you think?

I have a funny feeling that in the depths of his closet he actually has a Mario jersey. He probably got it when he actually was into hockey and knew who was the best team around. Go Pens!!! Show Nellie who's the Kings of the Ice!

Found it! Still sick that the Flyers who outplayed and outshot the Pens didn't beat them but your Frenchy was better bewteen the pipes than ours, c'est la vie.
The Dead Wings are still a better 'team' but the Penguins have likely the two best players in the series on their side, sooooo. If Fleury plays God they have a shot, if he doesn't, they don't. I see a former NHL goalie often these days and he thinks it's gonna be all Wings but he also says he doesn't follow the game anymore either, lol....
Heck, I wish I had the time to come to the Nat's, let alone walk there. I still owe Stormi Hood a similiar walk (nekkid) around the Springfield mile when her man Andy won a Feature there one day, oops.
Enjoy, Bill W, Crafty and you guys in here, winning the Cup when you're not supposed to is as good a feelin' as it gets, see '73-'74, '74-'75, Take It Easy....

So, if I understand this correctly, you have no intention of making good on your boast concerning the Penguins as you had no intention of walking the Springfield mile also. Is that correct or are we all just misunderstanding the difference between boasting and actually making good on your statements? Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Boasting is talking about yourself, you may want to look up the word 'facetious' in the dictionary tho'. Heck, you are the Postie and the walking expert. Since I stopped walking around racetracks and started sitting in an office all day I can barely walk the five blocks home from work. I'm hardly a Terry Fox type athlete these days, Take It Easy....
PS The Dead Wings have a few injuries, just might make it even closer, arghhhhh.....

Ok. I'll take you up on it. I'll take the Pens for the finals. I don't drink the hard stuff or beer anymore but I will wager a bottle of wine versus a twelve-pack of your favorite beer. No need to get naked at all.

haha, my kid is now on a road trip from PA to Detroit with a stop for the evening in Pittsburgh. Going to the game tomorrow night. Decided to take in the game in Detroit since the ticket prices were lower than Pittsburgh...and I paid good money for that college edumacation
