This practice has gotten plumb out of hand. I arrived at the track last weekend with truck, trailer and car in tow at 3:45 pm. At about 4:15 pm I witnessed people placing lawn chairs in front of the Pit Gate window. So when it came time to get in line for a Pit Pass, I soon found that each lawn chair represents 4 to 7 people and I was at least 27 people deep in line. Bullshit, if you are to lazy to stand in line and everyone is shoved back because of your inconsideration.
If you want to be first in line Get Your ASS in line, don't leave a F....ing token that allows you and 18 others to take cuts. Thats the same as cheating, you're cheating the folks that are willing to stand in line not to mention just being flat ass rude.
So don't be surprised if I back my in pick-up and start loading lawn chairs. I'm sure the Goodwill or Salvation Army can find a good home for them.
Get in line like everybody else.

brilliant post. This type of shit applies to a lot of things. like people taping down seats. Its one thing to save a seat or 2 - but at the 07 STN I was there at 3pm for a race that started at 7pm - and the top 6 rows were taped up so a bunch of A holes could go watch football. I got an attempted - hell dont know what you would call it. Because I found a bit of space between 2 of them blankets and moved the tape around so I could have nice big ol' seat - of course this prevented on these upper class dude's fat ass wife from having a seat.........which was great. What was they gonna do - tell me to move? they really went and bitched to track personnel and basically got laughed at. Hell I had been there 4 f-n hours longer than them - so it was laughable that these bitches thought they was gonna make me move - besides in that 4 hours of waiting - who did they think I was talkin to? Track Personnel!!! lol.
I was out there hardcore and on the lonesome - I wasn't gonna get a lesser seat because some folks felt a sense of ENTITLEMENT and wanted to have their cake and eat it to. First person there willing to go out and bare it in the wind and cold should have the option at the best seat in the house - or ya know - at least some pretty darn good ones.
I have no problem with folks saving a seat or 2 - but I really got there 4 hours early and half the stands was taped up! thats just excessive.
Well anyways - I like that thought Unc. I'll make an early offer - I'll pay a dollar for each of them lawn chairs you pick up! do we hear any bids for 2$??? lmao.
How much would could a wouldchuck chuck if a
wouldchuck could chuck would

We have this conversation every week in line. It is amazing. I don't know why it is that important to be the first inside. Everyone starts at the same time and we get in 2 1/2 hours before the races. I hate to say this, but, good post cracker.

The thing is most people by this time of year already know where people like to pit. Besides what difference does it make anyway. I like pitting in different spots through out the season. maybe pick up on something if you pit next to someone new. And at times I dont even like pitting next to anybody in our class, we look for other classes to pit with.

Hell my pet peeve is your standing in line and think your going good and then all of the sudden here comes five people cutting in line because they know somebody - and they just blend in like nobody is going to notice.
Your right, it is very rude and inconsiderate.
As far as you JD, you aren't out there enough to even worry about pit spots are ya?
And OKCFan, for the bigger shows (ASCS) I will get there early in the day and lay down my blanket at my spot that I have been sitting at since 1983. Very particular about this as I know alot of people in that area and it is home to me. Not to mention the scenary of the lovely females as they walk through the tunnel down below. Quite awesome site in the summer time.
Anyhoot, I believe it was last year when I did this, then got there kinda late and this older couple had picked up my blanket and moved it to the next breezeway over. Talk about pissed and all I got from the old lady was "Well maybe you forgot where you put it." Told her as a matter of fact that I had sat in that same seat since 1983 and I damn sure didn't forget where I put it. I think that is the first time (being an adult) that I have ever been rude to one of my elders.
