Mother Nature was the winner Saturday May 16th with Rain washing out racing action at Farmington, MO. Sunday May 17th the team traveled to Shepps Speedway in Alexander, IL & The High Side Hustler showed fans how he earned his nickname. Jimmy qualified 5th quick & that lined him up 3rd row inside of the heat. In heat race action he would move up to the 3rd position and would run & high low searching for a place that the car liked and would settle for 3rd at the stripe. In the dash the 25 year old Springfield, IL native would start on the outside of the front row and take the early lead coming out of turn 2, Hurley would set sail to the dash victory. The feature came around & Hurley started on the pole, Jimmy would get the jump & lead from wire to wire in the 25 lap affair. He climbed out of the potent #35 & said that he first needed to thank his sponsors Miles Chevrolet, Action Graphix and Jeff & Stacy Watson. The proud new father was also excited he got to win with his new daughter there to cheer him on. He also wanted to thank his crew for working hard all night to keep up with the changing track conditions. Jimmy also wanted to thank Shepps Speedway for putting on the show and for there hard work all night to keep the track in racing condition; he would love to see more 410 winged shows at Shepps & looks forward to supporting this nice facility in the future. Hurley Racing will once again head south to Farmington, MO May 23rd & then it's onto Quincy, IL on May 24th for Hurley's first MASS appearance of the year.
