Parts Plus USCS Speedweek kicks off SAT., May 23rd with 6 races in 8 days.
Atlanta, GA – The Parts Plus United Sprint Car Series opens it's 4th Annual Speedweek Sat., May 23rd at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, AR. Over just 8 days the USCS Speedweek mini-series visits 6 speedways in 4 states keeping travel to a minimum for fans and teams.
Speedweek Round 2 is hosted by North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL on Sun., May 24th. Monday, May 25th the mini-series moves over to Clayhill Motorsports in Atwood, TN for Round 3 on the Memorial Day Holiday Monday.
After 2 days off for repairs the series returns to action on in Round 4 on Thu., May 28th at I-30 Speedway in Benton, AR. Action continues with Round 5 on Fri., May 29th at Drew County Speedway in Monticello, AR. The series then travels 94 miles East into Mississippi for the Speedweek 2009 Finale on Sat., May 30th at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, Mississippi.
Approximately a $90,000 payout is guaranteed with one driver able to win nearly $15,000. Each event pays $2000 to win with a Minimum of $250 to start the A-Main. Any Drivers who starts all seven A-Main events are guarantee a minimum of $1750 for the week. The Speedweek mini-series points pays 10 places with $1000 going to the Champion.
During the six nights of competition, many of the top ranked drivers in the Nation are expected to compete. Those include seven-time USCS Champion, Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee and 2002 NSCHOF 360 Sprint Car Driver of the Year and defending Parts Plus USCS Mid South Thunder regional Champion, Tim Crawley from Benton, Arkansas. Also signed up for the entire week of racing action is the 1999 USCS Dirt Cup Champion Marshall Skinner from West Memphis, Arkansas who is sixth on the career win list with 16 feature wins to date.
