We'll be there, Bailee has ran all the young guns races so far.we've made the long trips to Texas in febuary and plan to make the rest.
J.D. is right this racing is a blast, this is a great series to get your kids involved in.
most of these races pay back better than your local mini stock tracks do.
the series has a great promoter who is just super with the kids.
i would love to see the Young Guns Shootout Series have more races in Oklahoma,I-44,Brill,Dutton's and maybe even JRP

JD,
It appears my car would be legal. I would prefer a driver who has driven something other than a kids sprint, like in Restrictor or even better if possible.
I have a 15" seat right now and I would definitley have to bring the peddles up a bit for them to reach them, but if they had their own seat we could figure it out. I don't have power steering so it would have to be a kid w/ a little muscle, but it's a dang fast car.
I'm not saying I'm definitley in, but I'm willing to look into it. Especially if the drivers parents are willing to pay for fuel and entry fees. I would prefer to have them in the car at Creek County for a race to get comfortable w/ the car but they would have to be 14 years old, I don't know how old they have to be at I-44 but we can look into that.
Also, what type of gear do you think I would need for Ardmore. My motor can turn up to 8000 and I have 72" tires and currently have an I-44 Creek County type gear in it.

We ran there for 6 years and always used a 699 gear 214 and 327 it works good you won't turn 8000 but it will be around 7400.

Have one of your parents call me at (918) 344-9017 and I'll talk to them about it. I would prefer someone that has quality experience in either a restrictor mini sprint all the way up.
I'll see what I can do pretty quick since I haven't checked w/ my wife since she owns a portion of the car as well.

Jeff, I will vouch for Shawns boy I have raced against him this year in the sportmod and the Kid does not drive over his head or put him self in bad situations. You wont have to worry about him tearing your car up.
I Dont know about the other 2 kids JD is talking about But, I trust JD's Judgement.

Hey guys.. Tony Hernandez here... sometimes I can get logged in, sometimes I can't..JD and Gary are capable of answering questions for this series. We don't talk about $$$ in the series cause it's not about that. However, you can be assured at the LCS even, we take care of them, and try to at all other venues, normally though.. no complaints. You don't normally have to worry about getting your car tore up, I have a zero tolerance for front bumpers!!, though poo-poo happens, we run a pretty good ship!!
Thanks JD and 4c75/Gary
oh.. 214-733-3683 call for more info if needed
