Wilmot's opener has been pushed back to the 23rd. Memorial Day Saturday. Maybe it is better this way, as there was a lot to get accomplished in a short time. They will be looking for volunteers again, for this Saturday, starting at 11 again. Hope to see you there.

That really sucks, I had Wilmot on my schedule to shoot for the IRA but I wont be in town for the 23rd. Hope they aren't suprised if the car count isn't as high as they think it is gonna be because with hartford friday night and shawano Monday, alot of teams my opt out of racing at Wilmot.

I am thinking a car count will NOT be the problem. It IS an IRA show..............

I don't think that the car count will be a problem either. A lot of teams will stop on there way back from Hartford. It was announced at Charter on the 2nd that the 23rd was the back up date. So a lot of the teams are already aware this could have happened. I just hope they can get everything done in time. Glad to see they are having a test and tune session.

I know of one team that already had plans for the 23rd that won't be there.

They were hoping that the 24th would be the date since the minisprint schedule listed the 24th as an option.

Is one week going to make that much of a difference?

In my opinion, seeing what they were left with and left without, and what needed to be done there, yes, one week can make all the difference in the world. Weather has a lot to say about that also. Anyone that can lend a hand, they are asking for volunteers again for this coming Saturday at 11. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. I will be there again......

I was just informed that painters are needed this weekend. AND, anyone with drill drivers, with extra batteries, will be needed to perform some operations. Anyone and eveyone with this skill, and equipment, that is willing to show, will be greatly appreciated. Let's all get together and be proud, and get WILMOT RACEWAY back to what it used to be. In this day and age of race tracks biting the bullet, let's all be proud that we have Wilmot Raceway to call our own.........

We had a decent turnout last Saturday to help. A lot of track prep was completed. People put in quite a few laps removing rocks SmileI will defiantly be there this Saturday and hope those that are not heading west this weekend will be there too.
