As many of you know we are having a memorial race for my dad. I would like everyone to know that OKC CARB RULES will be allowed at this show!! I talked to Barry today and it will be for this show only. Charles Jarvis told me he would bring the NO GO GAUGE from the track. With that being said all cars will be checked before the race, if your car doesn't pass either gauge you unfortunately wont get to race. We got this done so we can have at least 30 cars from okc and ocrs to put on a good show. This event means alot to our family and we would like to have as many cars as we could. THANKS Jeff Leep

That's great! I wait all year for one of the 2 sprint shows at Ada. It brings me back to the old half mile days. I wish they'd run ASCS there again.

I can not speak for the guy that I help his engine is not done. He told everyone " two weeks" last week at Brill's lol. If I own my own car we would be there. Your dad was one of the reasons racing in Okc was a family affair.

I'm having trouble understanding this. Are the Super modifieds running Friday and Saturday night or just one night or are they only running Sunday? I want to come down but it is two hours for me and I want to come down on the best night for action possible. Thanks for the info guys.

I know that I posted that we might run on friday, but that was purely TENTATIVE, meaning it may or may not happen. We figured out that Friday night is not needed. SATURDAY and SUNDAY have always been part of the plan.

Saturday night as part of the OCRS show. Exhibition hot laps, heat and feature.

Sunday afternoon is open track session. This is informal, meaning if they want to run a few cars together at a time, they will. If just one, okay.

We are new to this "vintage thing", and the people that actually bring vintage cars decide how they want to run Sunday. It gives us time to compare, evaluate and work on our driving skills. Mainly just have fun.

Would you guys say this is a big 3/8ths, or a little half mile? I know it's most likely a true 3/8ths, but that track looks like you sprint car guys can just about flat foot it all the way around. The width of the turns and the curve of the backstretch looks hardball fast.

I know its fast enough that my cousin endo-ed (spelling?) a sprinter all the way down the front stretch at an ASCS sooner region race there. lol

Many of the old guys that have old race cars don't have computers. So if any of you know of someone that has an old race car(vintage midget, vintage sprint, supermodified, jalopy), please let them know what we're doing at OSP.

Your cars bring the modern day speed, ours bring the history. They're all from the same lineage.

The mutual promotion is working, and that is exactly what was intended. The buzz gets built, you guys get old fans, and us old car owners find new ones. Evvubody hoppy!

due to the rain we've had and the forecast of more inclement weather tonight and tomorrow, the OCRS/Harold Leep jr. memorial portion of Saturday's races at Oklahoma Sports park have been postponed until may 30th. racers in the regular weekly classes should keep in touch with track personnel for the status of Saturday nights regular races

I saw this posted and thought we should move it up so everyone will know
