Family Chevrolet Sprint Car Show and BBQ postponed; race still scheduled
Handy Racing Promotions, Inc. Media Release
-
PLACERVILLE, CA (4-30-09) - Due to a weather forecast that promises some precipitation and cold temperatures, this Saturday’s Family Chevrolet Sprint Car Show and Fan BBQ has been postponed to a later date.

While the Civil War Sprint Car Series event at Placerville Speedway currently remains on schedule at this time, Family Chevrolet will move their Annual Tribute to Al Hinds Car Show and BBQ, as well as the Tribute Al Hinds Night at the speedway to Saturday, August 1 when the Civil War Series is slated to return to Placerville Speedway.

“This event has to be beneficial to everyone involved, from the fans to the drivers and the auto dealership. No matter what Mother Nature brings us in the next 72 hours it surely will not be conducive to a fair weather bbq,” said Bill Sullivan of Placerville Speedway. “Weather permitting Saturday’s race will be a regular Civil War Race at Placerville Speedway. We’ll come back and present the Tribute to Al Hinds, the sprint car show and BBQ event on August 1. It will be much warmer then and we can make it a great party . Maybe can even put Andy Forsberg in a dunk tank by then and raise thousands of dollars for charity or something.”

Please note, at this time only the Family Chevrolet Car Show and BBQ has been postponed and Saturday’s Civil War event does remain on schedule at this time. For any further updates on that event visit www.placervillespeedway.com.
