Trammell Rushing is bringing in his car, if the doctor releases him, he'll bring his suit and helmet too.

Course I'll have my projects there too, hopefully painted by then. Right now ACTUALLY RUNNING is priority.

The Murphee Brothers are wanting to bring in their super from Texas. This is now a running car waiting for paint and a trip.

Standard OCRS show for saturday night.

Hot laps, heat, feature for supers.

Not sure if there will be another class there, haven't heard.

Tony Bond is looking to have some interviews of the living Legends on film, catch some footage of the cars etc.

Final plans are being worked out.

Sunday is open track day for vintage cars to have hot laps for fun and evaluation as well as skill improvement. 12:30 til no later than 6pm.

Sat they are wanting to have a swap meet as well. If interest is there an Arts and Crafts area is good too, all at the grounds up the hill. Those of you wanting to sell a few parts for extra money need to let me know early so we can know just how much to get ready for. THIS YEAR ONLY----THIS YEAR ONLY--- free swap meet spaces!

Not a dollar has been asked for, this has been done on honor and effort dealing with highs and lows, failures and successes. The buzz is there, the people are saying they are coming. Either way, the core support is solid and growing.

We may not realistically have 20 cars, then we might, who knows? 5 years from now we will if we keep this thing of ours on the square.

Pretty simple really---We bring out the eye candy, have some fun, and the sprint car guys take the gloves off and race in front of the Heroes we still have. You'll get the idea from there just like the rest of us. We are all still learning where this thing is going.

Sounds like I great thing, especially to honor Harold! Wouldn't miss it for the world!

Are they going to run their regular Sat. night show along with the sprinters?

You guys should'a caught the show at The Falls last Saturday night! Film and pictures are close, but in person it was pretty cool.

I'm sitting there in my car for the feature. We only had 6 cars on track(11 display, 17 total) for the first show since the weather was uncertain and some just could not make it. Still I see 2 T-top supers, 2 of the later style supers, and I'm in one of the 2 Edmunds style supers. This and knowing more are being built right now as we speak. There is no turning back now,and I do not want to stop my level of involvement, until I know for damn certain this thing will grow and prosper. I was born a supermodified fan.

Yes I'm sure they will. The sprinters should be the headlining show, thus they will go out each round after us.

I never heard one bad thing about Harold Leep Jr. Not even when he was with us, no matter what room I ever went to. I have been in trailerhouses, and in some really nice collections, across the board in this region. Many knew him, NOT ONE HAD A BAD THING TO SAY ABOUT HIM, in fact it was all positive. He stood on his own merit as a man.

Harold always lettered my cars. Last year as I was trying to decide whether to retire or not, my wife told me if I keep the car I could not repaint it. I asked what she meant by that? She said it would have to look the exact same because Harold is not here to letter it!

Thinking about what she said & some other things going on at the time, I figured she was right & I sold the car!!! Just not the same if you know what I mean!?!

Thanks for the info Brian!

He had a protege and good friend in Allen Crawford. Allen, or Uncle a as we know him here, has done a lot of very impressive work over the years and is my choice when my car gets painted. Allen is not really interested in doing modern cars anymore, but he is very interested in doing the lettering on the vintage cars. His work has the 'it' factor, and I would recommend him for anybody wanting to letter their old race car the way we remember them done. This guy was one of his clients sometime back
