Roger,
It sounds like your car was way too tight on the RR. Low RR air pressure, RR spacing, RR wheel offset, RR bar rate, and RR cross-weight need to be discussed. Send me an e-mail at [email protected], I would be willing to give you some suggestions.
BTW, having a good car early and then adjusting yourself out of the race is very common. Send me a message!

What was the set up to start the night?
How much did the track change between qualifying and the feature?
If the track changed a bunch, and all you did was turns, it sounds like you should have done more, and different things. But two turns should not have adjusted you out of the park......unless you were "tight" in the first place, but the track allowed you to be racy early on....

So why did you add turns? My experience is that if the track doesn't change, you should not change the car much, except to adjust for additional fuel.
And in some cases, if the track didn't change much all night, I'd ONLY have added fuel and maybe 1 lb. in the RR. The additional fuel will add weight to the rear tires(tighten the car up) that can be adjusted out by moving the wing slightly forward - maybe 1/2 an inch. You can move it back later as the fuel burns off to help tighten up the car.
