Any officical word on his condition would be appreciated. Naturally, we're all concerned and hope for nothing but the best report for this young gentleman.
I was in the pits all night and never knew who was driving the Tompson #92 sprint car, but I am assuming that it was Adam since there was only one crash that could be described as violent last night.. I didn't see how the wreck happened, just the tail end of it. Somehow he rolled coming out of turn four in the first lap or two of the main event. He flipped over the concrete barrier, landing in the 'chute' where the cars enter the track. Upon landing, the roll cage made contact with the barrier. The immediate concern for a bunch of us in attendance was for the track workers and pit spectators, who were extremely close to the wreck. Also, it appeared as if fuel was sprayed in the vicinity. Thankfully, no one standing was hit and the fuel was contained by fast-acting track personnel.
I don't know any details about his condition, but I watched as he exited the car and helped medics remove his safety gear to check him over. He was talking and appeared to just be shaken and sore. Medics took every precaution and used great care loading him into the ambulance for observation.
Again, I never heard that it was Adam Frith-Smith in the car, so this is completely unofficial.

Yes, it was Adam. I ran down as soon as it happened. He was ok and awake talking to us. The car was not in such great shape but he was mostly ok with a little soreness around his neck, shoulders, maybe from the belts. I have not heard anything since he went to the hospital but I hope he is ok. He was running really well until he hooked the cushion and started tumbling. Hope to see him racing again.

Adam ran my back-up car.....
he was running 5th (a strong 5th) in the main and hooked a rut comming off of 4 and cleared the fence
the top of the cage went head first when he went over the crash wall
he was rushed to a local hospital....i dont have any other info
the car held up very well....but hes very lucky considering where the impact zone was on the frame

That was a hard hit, I was right there. I saw all the track personel scattering the scene.. I think we are all very lucky that someone did not get killed right there.. I have said it, and heard other people say that where the personel stands is right in the way of a out of control flipping sprint car, and hope everyone learned a good lesson.. He even landed on the tow truck with the throttle wide open and the tire took of the side mirror. Really an Eye Opener.. He had a great run going last night, Just glad everyone was OK...

Talking about safety issues...anyone know why they removed the security fence between the two tracks at the 3/8 mi. exit..now you gotta worry about running over some 10 year old walking across the exit road..It's a blind exit-dust in the air -dark when the sun goes down...put a fence back up so no one gets hurt Please.......

Hey,
Thanks for being concerned, I'm feeling ok right now.Originally they thought I broke my clavicle but it turned up fine. However I did bruise a lung am pretty sore with a few bumps. I have to say that the # 92 Thompson Sprinter was real fast and we were looking at a good finish against several 410 cars. Hopefully I will be able to make it to Bakersfield next week.
Thanks Adam

Hi Adam, so happy to hear you are ok and that no one else was injured. I emailed your Mom and haven't heard back from her but I'm sure I will tomorrow.
Glad you were at least going fast and looking at a good finish, it will happen soon.......next race maybe. Good luck, take it easy, and let yourself heal before getting back in the drivers seat..
