I see your point! If the August show got nixed there would be more 410's at Knoxville to help carry your 360 Nats!

I looked on the schedule and the August dates are All-Star shows paying 20 grand to win on Saturday.

Televised on the BS, I mean VS channel?? When your 360 Nats can stand alone, I'll take what you have to say a little more seriously.

still more TV than what the 410's are on that night aint it?

How much did you cry bullshit when WoO were on the Outdorr channel - it's virtually the same thing - at least around here they are on the same sports tier package.

The 360's could stand alone. At the end of the day they still get over 100 sprints for it. The only thing that has held the 360 Nationals back is FANS WONT PULL THEIR HEAD OUT OF THEIR ASS. There are still a lot of dinosaurs with the archaic logic that a 410 show is superior to a 360 show, and it's not always the case - you know it's not always the case.

In the very end of things - there is not much a difference in QUALITY OF RACING between the 360 Nationals and 410 Nationals. The 410 Nationals have 1 hell of a legacy though. It was very ironic that even despite the efforts of a certian 410 series to draw cars/fans away from the 360 Nationals last year - they still doubled their attendance. Now this year, that same 410 series had to play applecheek and ride the coattails of the WoO to further their cross-scheduling efforts.

Speaking of standing alone - how bout next weekend you look at all the sprint car racing in the entire nation - and tell me which is healthier. Sooner fans pull their heads out of their asses, the better off the sport will be. I'm not saying the 410's should go - I hope their respective series do well - but I think the FACTS more than justify the notion that 360's should get more respect. They are not as "inferior" in the grand scheme of things as they used to be.

You are obviously confusing facts and opinions. That is quite a selling point you used there -- "Hey, we're not as inferior as we used to be." LOL

lmao.

ok I'll concede that statement lol.

But I think you know what I meant. 410 racing has seen somewhat of a decline over the last decade - and 360 racing has been on the up and up. To be fair, yes 410 racing still has the top drivers. The point I am always trying to make - is that the gap in QUALITY OF SHOW has narrowed a whole lot. But yet much of the public perception has not, and imho that is very disappointing.

I am not trying to say that 360's have just blasted past the 410's. They have not. But I do think as a whole there is a lot more stability in the 360 ranks. And at the same time, I think they will eventually find themselves in the same position as the 410's unfrotuantely. Because of the outrageous costs of racing - I think the entire sport, especially on the touring levels, but even local levels as well - could find itself in very big trouble very soon - if not already.

It's not about trying to take anything away from 410 racing. I just think 360 racing should get more respect than it does. I think the half second difference lap times, and the aces like Schatz and co. - are Red Herrings. The Quality of the racing should be the first factor. It seems many still prefer 35$ admission, 14.8 second lap times, smaller car counts, and little passing - over the 20$ admission, 15.3 second lap times, bigger fields that are generally more even, lots of passing.

Now of course those factors are not ALWAYS the case. not at all. My point is - even when the above IS THE CASE - some still prefer the former over the latter. Thats what I am saying about perception. The 410's were always better than the 360's. The gap is not as wide now. I think if sprint car fans saw past the perception - that gap would be close to non-existent.

Except in Pennsylvania, of course. wink lol. I;ve wandered this before - but how fond are ya'll of your 358's? What is the difference between them and 360's? and lastly - what the difference in speed (lap times) between the 358's and 410's?
