Tell me that they are going to allow as much time as it takes to run the Sprint Car feature and I'll consider it. Last time I was there (6-8 weeks or so ago) they had a time limit, 30 laps or 20 minutes, whichever came first, to run the Sprint Car feature. And that usually is just not enough time for a 30 lap Sprint Car main. It takes about 7 1/2 minutes for Sprints to run 30 laps there if they run straight through without incident. One yellow and you are going to be at 20 minutes. Two yellows or one red and you have to shorten the race. In fairness, I'll grant that they did allow more than the 20 minute limit in the race I'm talking about. But with a yellow and a couple of reds that night they still did have to shorten the race. And the problem for me was, every time they threw a flag I was on the edge of my seat wondering if I was going to see a complete race. The time limit cramped my just being able to sit back and enjoy the show knowing there would be enough time allowed to run the full race. I don't like to bitch, and I really do like Victorville. It has great atmosphere and facilities, and the track and racing are superb. It is a great place to see a Sprint Car race. But it is a bit of a haul from Escondido to go there not knowing if I'll get to see a complete race. And I am one of those non-winged Sprint Car purists. Will travel for Sprint Cars.

I don't think a hardcore race fan voicing his concerns is bitching.....If more fans expressed their concerns it would help a promoter streamline the program to get you back...you came a long distance and I hope Sat. we ,the racers, can pick up the pace and allow the promoter more options in his time line...their are three classes running the big track and I predict a car count requiring 'B' mains in at least two of those classes ,so lets all work to give the fans what they paid for....thanks to Brad Downing and RacingOptics for helping make this a great track to race at...

Victorville is one of those tracks known for being a diamond in the rough. In the last couple years the Gibsons have polished that stone into a really nice place to come race sprint cars and to sit in the stands and watch some very GOOD side by side race action. With the new clay, combined with fewer classes of race cars, it is very enjoyable. And with this years schedule not going up against the USAC-CRA schedule, you really get to see some great competitors!

The last race there last month, the sprint cars were over before 9:00pm. I was back home in San Diego by 11:00! How great is that!

I can't wait till tomorrow, besides the fact that I keep getting better looking every day, it's also sprint cars in Victorville night!!!

See ya at the races!!!
