One other possible date for vintage cars. May 23-24 in Jetmore is the Steve King Memorial. Tony Bruce Jr is promoting the races and will be an all sprint show with 30 305's and 40-50 360's expected. Saturday will be a car show on the streets of Jetmore for racers who want to participate, with races that night and the next day. Danny King extended an invite to vintage cars to participate. Tony is trying to get the races finished by 10, so with that many sprints, vintage cars will be limited to the amount of track time. Vintage are welcome to come for the car show, and Tony and Danny are trying to work out some track time for them as well. Since this isn't an official KAR event, can't say if vintage will be required to buy pit pass or not. More info at www.unitedrebelsprintseries.com in the forum section under Steve King Memorial.

I'm glad we didn't have any conflicting dates with you guys up there. I know very few if any Kansas cars will be coming down, but still it's nice they have the option without any conflicts. Of course from down here, should the movement grow like it looks, there will be I'm sure some cars going up there since there are some historic tracks to run on. The first couple of years will be a forming time, get things to gel some.
If the show in Ada, OK goes off well, it looks right now like we could have a show there again the weekend of Sept.26, once again not conflicting with the dates you presented here. A second show could also happen in Wichita Falls but the distance difference will be so much that it may not be an issue, still I'm certain it could be on a non KAR-scheduled weekend. Maybe some day there will be enough cars for everybody and we won't have to worry about these issues so much.
