Did it take you forever to sit down and write that commentary? You need to get a life guy, I was just giving a solution. The best solution, instead of a stupid spring rule, would be to use a tape measure and yard stick. it will tell you the correct numbers every time. Also, why punish the ones who are legal?
I was told that this could be corrected for less than $500, so why not tell everyone to get it fixed by said date????

!Its simple, fix the illegal cars and drop it! Saves everybody alot of work. I will fix the frame rails for $100, and be done with it. I live in piedmont and it will take an hour, bring your car, a six pack, stay and watch, take it home.

Have you heard where all they are supposed to be measured at to check for it? I saw a diagram somewhere and can't find it again? Thanks
I agree that the #650 spring is to high if they're going to make the rule JD, but if not 650 then what. They've already bought this damn spring rater so we're going to have to deal with it somehow. We need to make the best out of a bad situation.

Whats the big deal if he is trying to get some more mods to Enid? If they dont want to they wont go. Thats what a forum is. All you sound like is a damm jurk! If your car is legal then why does the track care what springs you run? It sounds like all the racers at SFS agree it's a stupid rule. Maybe if the racers would take a couple weeks off from SFS then Lanny would meet with everyone and come to an agreement with the racers what is best for the track and the racers. Promoters forget without the racers there is no show to put on and without the racers they make NO money.

So try to get a meeting with LANNY and "if" he wont listen come to Enid the purse is quite good still and the track and fans would love to see more mods here.
Its probably worth the pull....

They could just as easily allow it and for the $100 everyone could discover the holy grail to modified setups and become the next kelly shrock, win all the big races, quit their jobs and the world would be come a utopia.
Mickeys quote is about as plain and simple as it gets to fix the problem since it has been deemed illegal. Since USMTS has taken the stance that they will not allow it, no other place is going to allow it. Well other than the one track in OK that has no kind of car count... But who wants to race 4 to 7 cars for $400 with $30 pit passes.
But there are still problems to fixing these stubs that have been raised. How are they going to tech it so that when the frames are repaired they are put back correctly. Do they just want the frame rail back to parallel (0 deg)? If so this will work for them it should be no big deal to fix a car in an hour,

You want cars to come to Enid, I would fire (or bar since you probably dont get paid) any person that worked for me talking shit to racers on the Internet representing my track.. That would be you! You don't see any other track in the state of Oklahoma that has employees who work at a track talking shit to the customers on the Internet. ITS BAD FOR BUISNESS!

the fix is simple.....
0 degrees and parallel is exactly correct..... As for the payout at Enid, i believe its 600 to win if there are more than 10 cars but I could be wrong...

haha might be the only time i get to race my ole chevy pickup truck. The right front frame rail is not to spec though, clobered some old lady running a red light and bent it back a tad.

This is an interesting thread for sure - although it got pretty juvenile throughout the 2nd page, but there were some very interesting points made throughout the first page of the thread. Because it seems it is in everyone's best interest to just get this frame rail thign fixed, considering most tracks and series are outlawing. I'm not sure Enid's position of allowing it is really the answer to their car count problems. Seems to me Enid's promoters got dealt a raw hand with the fair board up there damn near tripling the lease, the only they can make up for that is through sponsorship. track sponsorship. 30$ pit passes, not much to win, and "run what you brung" type rules just doesn't sound like recipe for success. I hope they do succeed. I hope they can get their counts back up, and maybe even get some series (ncra) back in there. That approach just doesn't sound like a good idea to me. And no I am not as educated about it as others, but I can tell from the constant complaints either you hear or you read on here - from any class/any driver - that this type of approach ain't good. The only thing I can think of to get things back to how they used to be - is not cherrypicking unhappy drivers from other tracks (just so they can be unhappy there too lol) - but getting more money behind them. track sponsorship. just my respectful, humble opinion. If I am wrong about any of this - please anyone feel free to tell me where and why.....

Ops on here are fine and if it is important enough take it to the promoter, but I have never seen/heard Jimmy say anything really negative or offensive on here. Until he does I think everyone should lay off the guy, and let him do his thing.

well your completely correct about how the track should get the funds to operate. I dont believe that you can run a track successfully this way either. As for me inviting the guys to race up here, its simple, I have been around this track since I was 5 yrs. old and I didnt want to see the modifieds get cut from the schedule. I will say this, no matter the car count or the track, if a racer as the chance to get out of town and race against some very good cars, then I think they should. I really like the NCRA Oklahoma Series and believe it will be very successful. It may seem like I flipped but my stance is still the same and I should have never budged on it. There was never an intent to bash the track, I just wanted everything out in the open. As for Jimmy, He fights tooth and nail for that track and should be respected as such. It would take an IDIOT not to see that he does everything he possibly can for that track. Honestly, I just like watching the modifieds race, I guess what happens with them shouldn't matter to me because I dont have a pony in the modified show. I am connected to a sportmod and I think that is what got me here in the first place. I still dont agree with raising the prices and cutting the pay at the window. OKCfan12, you are correct on your statements, I was just trying to get more modifieds up to Enid. Thanks for getting me straight, now if we could just get the frame rails straight....

OKCFan12 & Jayson, Thanks guys. I have alot of respect for both of you and so many others on here. I think Enid would start teching cars more if they had the car count but then again that is jmo on the tech part. But Thanks again guys. There is one time I got a little stupid with my words on here and I let my mouth get away from me. I was just standing up for Jayson but I could of and should of used better words.
