If you happened to miss last night's wild ASCS Sprint Show at Cowtown Speedway, or would like to relive some of the highlights; I've got some pictures and video clips uploaded...and more will be added throughout the day today. (And I'm sure Rudy and Tim will be sending me high quality pictures as well to post on the Cowtown site.)

All told, I think there were 7 cars to get upside down throughout the night, but there were no reported injuries.
39 sprint cars filled the pit area and it came down to a 2-car slugfest between Kevin Ramey and Sam Hafertepe Jr. resulting in a photo finish. At one point in the feature race Hafertepe had to stab the brakes to avoid the car ahead of him resulting in the car completely leaving the racing surface headed towards the track exit, somehow, he recovered; but lost several positions, only to battle his way back to 16th-place starter Ramey; what a show!

Since we've widened the track about 15' all the way around, it's really...no...REALLY opened up the track for the sprint cars. They're all over the place, slide jobbin', passing and such.
Like in this case, you had a SPRINT driver coming from the 8th row in a 25 lap feature on a 1/4 mile track - getting to the front - a WoO driver bicycling out of the ballpark, recovering to pass 6 cars back to catch the leader to battle it out the last 2 laps.
Now THAT is what sprint car racing is all about!
