I will be pulling the 00 car out of the garage for a few shows.
The pay depends on car count $1,000 to win with 25 or more cars should be a really fun year.

Tony Kaus should be out most of year. Hope to get out and help him some this year, havent been to Arlington since i helped Mike Fore out there in 95? Heard things have changed for the better out there since then. Looking forward to being there. Whats the pit gate cost.

brett why dont they just pay 1000 to win no matter what and then that will prpbably draw the sprints to arlington and redwood...i knw alot of people going to jackson this year and looking on here it dont look good for imca.....shannon eriksen taking a while off.... jenny is gonna run some umss or whatever...i guarantee if arlington would raise there pay to 1000 there would be alot of new blood and drivers in a sprint car at arlington....who knows...you could even pull back some guys from jackson....or 750 even! and 1000 on jackpot nights! sprint cars r the show at arlington and redwood... so why not try and raise the payscale?

It sounds like its going to be a great year for local racing, we have alot of new promotions and fun activities planned for the 2009 Season. The big secret for 2nd is $600 based on 25 cars.

hey pimp , if sprints are the show at arlington, why did they move the feature for them to the middle of the night from the end of the night ? because the grandstands would start to empty out when they would come onto the track, all ten of them.the best class to watch for competition at arlington is the stock car class.

why is it that a simple question, turns into an arguement. I've noticed that with some of the recent threads regarding who's running where and what series. just my observation.

The simple answer to your question is because this is a racing message board and nothing ever seems to satisfy the masses when it comes to racing.

I don't think it's a question that should cause an arguement. If you want to argue about it, go right ahead, I'm not going to. It would just be nice to know what the pay-out is going to be at Arlington.
Would you go and have your car fixed someplace without knowing what it is going to cost you? I really don't think so. Racing is no different.
The UMSS and Jackson Speedway both have complete payout on there web page.

dwork...
were you there that night? and heard what they said at the drivers meeting? the reason they did that is because the sprints ARE the show and they wanted them to put on a good show on DIRT for once... not at the end of the night racing on dust after the hobbys and the streetstocks and the midwest mods get to race on a freshly watered track.. trust me the sprints are the show.... if i wanted to watch stock cars chase one another single file id go sit on a bridge and watch the cars go down i-35 at 75mph....hahaha

zweber, two heats of five or six cars does'nt constitute "a lot" unless you can only count to twelve.pusher, the question turns negative when people like pimp simply show disrespect to all the other people that work hard to get a car to the track reguardless of what class they run.to say that the sprints are the show,if the other classes were not at the tracks neither would the sprints or the stockcars.pimp, you've got the big wing , big tire , specialized racing chassis with torsion bars and you think you also need a wet track to put on a show. how do you think the guys without all that" help me stay on the track goodies" feel, put the shoe on the other foot once . i agree with the higher pay deal.looking at it from the promoters end it must be hard to keep everybody happy at your track and still work on bringing in new blood without upsetting your die hard loyal racers in the other classes.this argument is going to happen more often as the word in this area is that arlington and redwood could care less about pay in the other classes as they have proven this case once again. never a special for the other classes.how about a special for the hobby guys as thry bring by far the most through the back gate and probobly the front gate as well.

hey dwork- i was just trying to be funny on another crapola weekend. kinda felt bad though that our 14th place finishes don't seem so impressive with a 10 car field. i agreee the imca stock cars put on a great show. can't speak to the politics of it all but for a bunch of knuckleheads we were treated very well by all the arlington and redwood officials. leroy was great and we got a lot of help from the guys we raced against. had a lot of fun pitting with our old kart buddies the aulds. hard to find better people in racing. 2 weeks to practice and hoping for a nice day.

Bigbuck, I don't think we are whining, we are just asking a simple question.

I'm working on, trying to get it on the web site guys. I'm real busy right now trying to get the racing schedule finalized, wish you could be a little more patient with me, i'm still learning here but im also learning how people don't appreciate hard work and an increase in payoff.
