That is REALLY cool! I tried to post the embedded video but it takes flash and apparently this board's embed doesn't allow flash video. Well worth watching via Duane's link above though. Fascinating technology!

Great technology,yes ...Fasinating yes....but I'd go with an experienced machinist....the best they got was a replica of a worn 100 year old part...1million reference points when there were only maybe 10 ness. control points...a good machinist would have given that part maximum performance[back to new tolerances]...their replacement has 100 yr.s of wear manufactured in......

I live in a town that has several manufacturing companies that need scale model mock ups and several engineering firms where a person could build a scale model of their projects, such as a bridge ect.

What makes this system so good is the compactness and the cost.

The printing process is called sterolithography and has been around forever.
