Rpm Speedway in Crandall ( Southeast Dallas) will be running the Sprint series of Texas (305 Sprints) this Friday night

wow - a flood of nascar fans might be an excellent reason to stay away lol.

Careful 156 - if that wind blows a certain way - you might be smellin some poo......and we all know how you feel about that lol. (j/k man lol)

The only lack of racing next weekend is at SFS because Lanny dropped the ball and thought - why charge us all 20 bucks for near 60 sprints and good local turnout - when he can just wait later in the year and get half of everything and charge the same 20$? I mean - it only would have been the best race of the year at SFS - or in the state for that matter - whats the big deal with not having it? You see - when nascar is near - a couple hundred miles doesnt mean anything - they are still the big bad wolf that will keep all of us sheep from coming to SFS (sarcasm). Guess someone forgot to tell the hall of famer that Nascar is having trouble filling seats even at reduced prices.....and that folks would probably love to stay home and see a much better race for WAYYYY less money.

But as it is - the Race of the Year wont take place. not really. Instead we will get the watered down version a lil later - less cars in everything, and probably 1 night instead of 2. That is if we even get it at all. The reason SPRING Nationals next weekend would have been huge is because it would be at the beginning of the year. Most of those from Devils Bowl would have been here - as well as others. It's the beginning of the year - everyone wants to run. We would have had good local turnout - because despite the fact that pit passes would be 10$ more - yet for the same purse and no points - it would still be the first race of the year. As it is - attrition will likely take its toll on ASCS. And later in the year - you wont see the same turnout in the local classes. Why run a non points show in the middle of the year that costs more but doesn't pay more? How many will be out of $$$ by the end of the year? There are a lot of reasons this race would be best next weekend versus any other weekend in the year. And he could have made it up next weekend - it just would have actually taken some REAL promoting (effort). But as it is - for anyone wanting to see PROPER versions of the big shit.....will have to look more at Jetmore, Kansas. Wheatland, Missouri. Knoxville, Iowa. and Little Rock, Arkansas.

I'm just asking/waiting for someone to shut me up about this. I welcome some REAL reasons on why the hell we are not running Spring Nationals next weekend.....because I dont think Napcrap excuses hold a lot of weight.....because after all - I doubt it was Napcrap that forced the cancellation of the All-State race at Lawton.....

Its funny and ironic that Attica Speedway in Ohio got there show in with tons of 410 Sprints, 305 Sprints and Late Models. The snow and cold should be up there and not here
