Nothing here, but I am very interested in the topic. Isn't Flanders over at the Orange Show now?

Bob is correct. Bruce has moved from Irwindale to Orange Show Speedway for the 2009 season. In addition, he will be calling the Speedway Motorcycle races at The Grand in the City of Industry on Wednesday nights and like always, he will be doing the Long Beach Grand Prix next month. You can see and hear him on the Internet TV show "Haunted Saloon" every Tuesday evening as well.

I remember Tommy Astone going north to compete on the asphalt at Altamont Speedway's 1/2 mile. Wasn't he Billy Vukovich's brother-in-law or some relation and lived in Fresno?

Ron Shuman won both days in Imperial (El Centro), however, he was driving Eddie McNeely's Red Crush #14a. Jimmy Boyd piloting Ken Woodruff's #21n set the all-time one-lap track record after a rainstorm made the track very tacky. I believe that same combination won the first World of Outlaws event at the Devils Bowl 2 weeks later.

Wally ran the senior division at Ventura last year, and Ronnie has been working with the ASCS at Manzy. Shuman will be running a 30 lap Midget race at Manzy, on the 10 of next month. He also ran the Chili bowl last year..and I heard Oskie was in the "Twilight zone", but that's just one of the forum rumors. BIG GRIN Now you can tell me where the rest of them are,OK? I heard that one of them was having another problem thdrunk.gif drunks image by grouper01but some think it's not..BIGGER GRIN..

OK, so what determines the file size for the picture post? Seems like it only takes thumbnails.

Left double click the picture in Photobucket, it will open another window and that will make it as big as it gets. Then just, copy paste... Please don't send me any money..OK one without opening, and one after the double click and the new page with the enlarged picture.

You have the first clue on his leathers. Next hint: National Champion, early 70's. You could win a pony if you get this right. wink
