What is the tire rule for the grandslam?

Do we have to run the VRA right rear tire for the all grand slams?

Do we have to right a VRA tire for just the Ventura Grand Slam?

I am hearing lots of rumors, but I need facts.

Naylor, Kearns, Swindell, Bako Guy? some one set us straight.

Thanks,

Butch Brazil

The last time it was discussed at Ventura ... there would be NO RC3 used in the Grand Slam events ... all the races would be on the VRA tire ... that was the word from Cliff .... check with VRA Office.

I can fix that.

Just like all other rules for the Grand Slam just look at the VRA rule book give most advantage to VRA drivers .Probably no qualifying ,run VRA tire no cone starts all that crazy stuff.

The tire for the 2009 Grand Slam Series is the VRA Right Rear Tire. This was decided at Reno when the promoters met to decide if there would be a series in 2009. At that time the VRA Tire was agreed to for all the races this year. Ventura, Bakersfield and Santa Maria. If anyone has any questions about the 2009 Slam Series you can reach us at Ventura Raceway. We are looking forward to three great races, beginning at Ventura on April 4.
