Name her after the "ONLY" women to win a 410 sprint car feature event at Port Royal Speedway (or any other central PA track) and defeat the PA POSSE on its own turf and its own racing terms.................................Judi Bates!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I still don't believe it! E-Mods.

And to think I almost didn't go to the Port that night, was pretty happy that I did. I've never seen anyone so happy to win a race.
Christine Karns raced at Port a long time ago
I saw a female driver at Williams Grove a few years ago, I think her name was Mary Ann Williams #78 and was the only car in the field running a cast iron block

The best female drive I ever seen was Brenda Buster. Not a looker thow, but a gasser. OF course that was with a wing.

Kara Hendrick?. Of all the female racers I've watched - I think she would have gone somewhere with her talent - unfortunately a racing accident took her life. Early 90's if I remember is when she was racing. Very beautiful also!!!
Congratulations BTW!!!!

BINGO!!!
Kara Hendrick was on the "fast track" to the top of the motoracing world and most likely would have been the best female to move up to the "next level".

Right about Kara. She was a good racer and a good looking gal. That was a sad time indeed when she lost her life. I remember her interview on "Thursday Night Thunder" (or whichever night) when she said she wanted to go to NASCAR and "rub fenders with Rusty Wallace." She would have gone far in racing.
There are so many females out there racing that we probably could never include all of them.

Thanks Micro, and I think she was married to Dave. She was one of three women who competed at the Belleville Nationals the in 70's and 80'..the other two were Denise Bennett and Sarah Mccune. Jeri was 5th in 88, and they used to have a memorial race for her at Manzy or Tucson, not sure where for sure..
Good deal Micro, thanks so much. She deserver's to be remembered when women drivers are being talked about.

You bet she did...I just assumed she was on the list because she's still high profile..
Crocker started racing professionally in the World of Outlaws while attending Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in industrial and management engineering in 2003. In 2002, Crocker signed with Woodring Racing to drive a 360 winged sprint car. She won five feature races as well as twelve heat events, earning her the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame Outstanding Newcomer Award. The following season, she switched to 410 Dirt Sprints, and became the first woman to qualify for the Knoxville Nationals. She won the 410 division's Rookie of the Year honors at season's end.
