In restoring or building a old spring front type sprint car, where would you go to purchase a spring these days? I see a set up in Speedway Motors hot rod book with the dropped axle, spring and radius rods. Would this be suitable for this application? thanks for any input.

1. Halibrand steel front knockoff hubs, pressure plates, hex nuts, International spindles, new dropped axle (2" X .188 4130) and a Cross leaf Posies front spring. All for $500.00 2. Ex USAC 302 short block. .060 over, steel chevy 302 crank, Carrillo rods & new Moroso oval track pan. $800.00 Carlton Calfee 813-833-2187 This was listed in the for sale thread. Don't know if still available or not. Price is pretty good for what you get. If you need a spring, Atlas Spring and Axle in Wichita can custom build. Dwane Wolff, who restores race cars, says he has used them with good results. They are working on some for me right now.

Got this email from Carlton. Surely someone is needing these parts for a project. His e mail, if you want to see pix, is [email protected] Might be able to work a deal with Warren to pick up, or he might have a trucker friend that could do it. Thanks for the update, Carlton
Rusty, the parts on your email are still available in Tampa, FL. The axle is new as is the spring. Let me know if anyone wants pictures.
