totally confussed-16 cars? 4 heats,2 mains-then a 'runoff 'between the top 3 main event winners...if I'm mistaken please correct me ,,,thanks

Those were the top finishers from each race only. That was all of the information that was listed.

Thanks Scott,my only knowledge comes from 1948 movie 'The Big Wheel' ...Mickey Rooney.racing must have been special back then ..pure-straight forward-less political..or maybe not

I would have been 1 year old, but I could have been there. We moved from Indy to Torrance in 48 and my dad had been running Midgets back there after the war, we were always at the track.

I may have been there but no senior discount but maybe kids got in free i would have been3 yrs old in 49
of course Ralphie did get the senior discount.

Give me a break--if that would have been Gilmore---YES I WAS THERE.
We didn't get to carrol in those day's. Mostly Acton and Culver city. DIDN'T QUALIFY FOR DISCOUNT YET.
