Is he planning on running with the Outlaws with the #25 ride or just a temporary thing??

I would bet they try and hang out on the tour as long as the funds are there.

That would probably be a losing bet. The Postupack car is not going to follow the WoO tour. That was a team rumored to be out of money running locally last year.

The funds must be pretty low, if they can afford a 2,000mi round trip to FL to start the season off. Pittman must have paid their diesel bill.

Fine, choose what you want to believe. This team will not be on the WoO tour.

He has ran pretty good. But this is only a local pa team. They do not have the resources to run the whole outlaw deal. It could give pa fan something to cheer about another team with a good shoe. But only if the money holds out.

My understanding is that Pittman will be running in PA this year in the 25. So not a temporary deal, but not running with the outlaws. However, as Pittman is currently 2nd in all-star points, ASCoC full-time is a possibility. I would say unlikely, but a possibility.

As of right now the ride is for tonight only. He will be back in PA for Saturday at Lincoln Speedway in the 25.

Nice run for Pittman last night starting behind TK and passing him to get into the top ten. It seams like he really has his elbows up at this point and is driving the wheels off of anything that he gets into.

I knew somebody would say something about Pittman finishing in front of TK however, Tim was running in 5th on the final lap and something happened to the car! Gibson said he was out of power but never said what happened. Tim overall had to be pleased with his first night with Guy as he quilified 7th, made the dash and had a solid top five for the whole race until the last lap. Daryn did have a good night also and I would think unless Daryn has other commitments he would be at the Mini Gold Cup in the 83jr.

Not sure how well funded the team is, but given where they sit in the all star points, it probably wouldn't be a bad deal to follow that series and go after the 50,000 point fund.  There are still a bunch of races between now and when the All Stars kick back into action.  Additionally, I would doubt that Smith and Lasoski go that way, so he is really atop the point standings.

It does suprise me when more people don't do what Dewease did last year.  The only problem for Dewease is that he did it the year that gas prices went through the roof.

I think it's more realistic to think the Pete's team will go after the $20,000 Williams Grove point fund instead, and I believe that is what has been reported thus far. Maybe I'm being biased, I think Daryn would have a better shot at the All-Star title, but a lot of the funding I saw on that car at Florida is based in PA, and I'd think they'd want to be represented there. I'm sure what you'll see is Daryn driving a bunch of cars this year, with a consistent ride in PA. Anyone who's looking to field a car for specific large events (knoxville, King's Royal, Gold Cup, etc...) would be a fool not to go after his services. Like I said, if he runs the Grove weekly, I still don't think he'll win the title. He could easily be the most talented/skilled driver in PA upon his arrival, but he's up against a lot of experience and that 51 car, as terrible as it was in Florida, has a pretty good record of stringing together 25-top5 seasons (out of 27-28 races) and winning the points game based on consistency.

You gotta love those small fuel cells on 1/2 mile tracks. I still don't get it why they are not smart enough to figure fuel milage and carry a larger fuel cell for the big tracks. I guess as long as the sanctioning bodies keep allowing fuel stops they will never use the larger fuel cell and just complain after they run out that there should have been a fuel stop.

Tim did run out of fuel. Not putting Daryn down but, that is why he passed Tim. If you noticed, Daryn passed the other cars that got flat tired too................
