Since the end of last season, Ocean Speedway has undergone the following changes and improvements:
Phase One: Completed Nov 4th
We would like to thank Tony Olivierea and Fred Lint for adding 1000 yards of clay to the track. The shape of the track is in perfect condition and ready for racing!

Phase Two: Completed Nov 15th
We planted new sod in the infield which looks great.

Phase Three: Completed Feb 4th
We moved the K-rail in Turn 3 and Turn 4 approximately 35 feet off the edge of the track.

Phase Four: Will be complete by Feb 12th
We will completely remove the K-rail in Turns 1 and 2.

Improved Food Court Start Date March 2nd
We will be extending the concrete pad adjacent to the food court 8 feet and adding new tables and chairs with umbrellas. We are also going to be adding new flower planters for decor around the food area.

New Fire Safety Truck
The Speedway has acquired a new fire safety truck that will be equipped with 250 gallons of fire retardant which can be emptied in 45 seconds. We always have safety as a top priority. We are well equipped for any possible fire that may occur.

How about giving the track a little more banking?

thanks for all the work for the benefit of the fans and racers. i would also like to see at least the banking be all the way to the top lip of the intended racing surface and not have it flatten out to soon.

to indy and beyond!!
