Drivers Competing for NCRA Rookie of the Year Honors
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - February 1, 2009 - Park City, Kansas - With just a little over two months before the dirt flies, the sweet sound of revved motors and the smell of methanol or alcohol fill the air, the O'Reilly/National Championship Racing Association would like to hear from you drivers who plan on competing for series rookie of the year honors for one of the three divisions for 2009.
Whether it be the 20th season with the NCRA 360 sprint car series that is scheduled to kick off Saturday night, March 28th at Eagle Raceway in Nebraska or the NCRA modified divisions 12th season slated to kick off March 28th at 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas, the O'Reilly/NCRA want to hear from you. And while the O'Reilly/NCRA late model division isn't slated to kick off their 26th year until May 22 at Mid-Nebraska Speedway in Doniphan we want to hear from you as well.
Please send brief but detailed information as you will be included in all press releases when mentioning rookie of the year contenders. This will also give the staff an idea as to how many drivers are expected and we can use that information to present to potential rookie sponsors.
Please headline your email "NCRA Rookie of the Year" and send your information to the following:
David Smith, Jr.
We at NCRA would like to thank you for your support of the series and look forward to seeing you at the track in this, the series 39th year of sanctioning dirt track racing in the Midwest.

This NCRA Rookie of the Year is a great Honor.

Not sure what the R.O.T.Y will receive in 2009, but it was a SWEET reward for Koby Barksdale # 22 sprint of Norman OK., winner of this award in the NCRA 360 sprints in 2008.

Koby recieved a compleate set of Brodix racing heads ($3800. value)

We are very proud of this honor and prize, and would like to THANK Brodix, NCRA, C Ray Hall, & of course David Smith jr. ( your write ups and announcements helped put this thing in gear).

As well as our sponsers Deckworks Construction, Jason Burress,Tri State Claims of Oklahoma, OKC. Pick Up Parts, Barksdale Automotive & Twister Designs & Signs

So Yes, you guys let him know ! its well worth it.

elbows up...stand on it hard.., & get that win!!
             #22 sprint Norman, Oklahoma
