I see Linclon is not starting at it's regular week after Daytona, same for The Grove. Hagerstown taking over, the first week. Decent track, is what I'm asking. Need a sprint fix and can't make it to Florida.

Hagerstown is first this time, although Lincoln is about the same time as always. This is a new show for Hagerstown. WG decided there not running day time races anymore.

For several years, up until maybe the early 1990s, Hagerstown usually did run a Sunday afternoon Sprint Car show the week prior to the Grove opener. Even by daytime dirt racing standards, Hagerstown in the daytime is about as bad as daytime racing gets. The track always takes rubber and is usually one lane around the bottom. Out of maybe 20 daytime shows I have seen at HT, I would say maybe one or two of them were even decent.
Night racing at HT can be awesome, whether it is Sprint Cars, Late Models or Modifieds, but the "Hagerstrain" moniker definitely does fit for daytime shows there.

Nothing overly compelling that I am aware of. I am not sure where you are from. Ohio? The season opener at HT could be a nice way to catch an early season race if you have not been to Hagerstown before, The facility is top notch, but IMO I don't think it is worth traveling any huge distance to see a daytime show there. If you do decide to go, don't go there expecting a fabulous race to break out. My opinion is completely opposite for night races at Hagerstown.
I also kinda wonder what the car count will be like for a Sprint Car show at Hagerstown so early in the year. I remember one of the reasons they replaced Sprint Cars with Modifieds for the early season shows was because the Sprint Car field was usually small (less than 20).

Thanks, SingleFile. I'm from Toronto. I was wondering the same. Perhaps I'll wait for the following weekend, and go to Lincoln., on the way up from Cecil, Georgia, Test session down there, midweek-drag racing that is. Two of my favorites- Sprints and 1/4 milers, or should I say 1000 footers.....lol...

I think you have a much better chance of seeing a decent show at Lincoln than at Hagerstown. In addiiton, Lincoln will have more solid teams than Hagerstown will, just from the fact that Lincoln is a weekly Sprint Car track.. I didn't mean to talk you out of a trip, but that is an honest opinion on day racing at Hagerstown. I really would not travel from Toronto to Hagerstown to see that show.

Agree, Lincoln most likely will be better than Hagerstown. The field will be larger at Lincoln and I've seen some really good races at Lincoln in the afternoon. About all of the top teams will be at Lincoln, I can't say the same for Hagerstown.
