Does anybody know when the IRA schedule will be out? Just curious. Thanks. LETS GO RACIN!!

Don't know when they'll release it but found a few dates for you:

Apr 25-Dodge County

May 2-Charter; 8-34 Raceway; 9-Knoxville

June 2-Charter w/Kasey Kahne; 12-Oshkosh; 19&20-Cedar Lake; 27-Plymouth

July 24&25-Elko Speedway???

Aug 8-Charter; 28-Oshkosh

Sept 26-Plymouth

All came off the track websites other than the Elko date that was from some fodder on the IRA website.

Also September 12th at Cedar Lake.

A partial IRA schedule will be released later this week. I was hoping to do a formal "official 09" release however a few interesting new opportunities have just hit that may require a little shuffling thus forcing a delay in the formal release. The official schedule will be released after Florida.

Season is set to begin with back to back Dodge County WI events April 18 & 25, Charter Raceway Park WI May 2nd, 34 Raceway (IA) May 8th, and Knoxville May 9th. The remainder of May is what is under discussion.

Just trying to make it all fit......

Steve, I am hoping that the right decision has been made in regards to your 40th Anniversary......I know it should be a tough decision, as I am sure there have been big plans made, but the wise decision would be to go with the proof that is out there, and in writing. I am just looking out for the integrity of the organization.

* IRA will not schedule a race of its' own on 7/11-7/12 in respect to the WoO dates at Charter & Cedar Lake, & as tradition will leave the Knoxville Nationals week Aug 12-15 open as well.

Elko Speedway is a paved track about 30 miles south of Minneapolis/St. Paul on interstate 35. They're going to cover the track with dirt for a week. The lineup includes IMCA Sprints Wednesday July 22 and 23 and IRA Sprints and USMTS Modifieds on Friday and Saturday July 24 and 25.

Elko isn't just a race track, they have a full service bar and concert venute and that features concerts by some of the top bands in the upper Midwest immediately following the races. I don't get out there very often because of the pavement but it's a very nice facility and the track is semi banked and wide. The lighting is awesome and the grounds are immaculate. It should prove to be a good deal for the IRA but whether or not this becomes an annual event will undoubedly depend on the crowds.

Don't forget the IRA Sprints at the Masters with WDRL Late Models on June 19 & 20 at Cedar Lake and the Jerry Richert Memorial on Saturday September 12th. This year the UMSS 360 Sprints (non-wing on the schedule) will make the Richert Memorial their first ever "all Sprints" show.
