Does anyone know what sprint had a Roush Yates engine in it at York?
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Not unless they humilate all the narrow minded puppets they race against for the next 10 years or so. Thanks for being concerned.

It was probably just a block someone was given for a show car.
You think someone would actually buy something like that, let alone race it? LOL

You are probably right. Even if it is someone being totally silly and funny, I would still like to laugh with them.

Don't lie, you got excited at the thought that someone else thinks a sprint car can be competively ran with Ford power.

I heard from a little birdie that they are building ASCS Ford 360 sprint engines.....and they are probably a very nice piece.
Rome wasn't built in a day......but they sure didn't
waste any time burning it down!

I pulled the following picture from paposseracing.com:
http://paposseracing.com/index.php?option=com_rsgallery2&page=inline&id=2794&Itemid=55
Unfortunately, I do not know how to post pictures, but I saw the same car at the Atlantic City show. I read an article that stated Roush-Yates did not want to get pigeon-holed into building engines for NASCAR, and they wanted to broaden their offerings. This engine is a 360, but the article stated they may eventually build a 410.

People are a bunch of morons in here. They thing that they know everything about racing and half of them are just a bunch of want a bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb's. If you know anything about racing you would know that Bobby Davis Jr drove for Casey Luna and they ran a Ford. Hmm let me think? O and they won races running with WoO.

Ever heard of Dave Blaney who, along with Bobby Davis, Jr., drove for Casey Luna, and both won WoO Championships, RUNNING A FORD!

Oops, I forgot a critical word in that post. Let me rephrase that:
Don't lie, you got excited at the thought that someone else thinks a sprint car can be competively ran currently with Ford power.
While we're at it, lets not forget Jeff Swindell. Though not as successful as Blaney or Bobby Davis, Jr., he did manage to win some WoO races, the last one at South Oregon Speedway on 8/26/1998. Is that Ford's last win in a top notch sprint car series?

At the 2009 Chili Bowl I spoke with a gentleman that has a dirt Silver Crown car built and ready to race, and it is Rousch/Yates powered.
"The Outlaws have people out here that don’t know
anything about racing. I don’t understand how they
come up with some of the calls they do. It makes me
think that they just might be that stupid. It’s
scary." -Steve Kinser

Ray Tilley...1964 through 1968, 116 feature wins in 165A-Mains, 165 top 5s, consecutively. People in Central PA didn't even know Chevrolet was making engines until that combination was done...

You're mistaken. Blaney won the World of Outlaws title in 1995 driving a Ford powered car for Casey Luna.
Blaney would later run a Vivarin 10 car that was Chevy powered after Luna retired from car ownership.
While Blaney ran for Luna, they posed the most serious threat to Steve Kinser's dominance from '93-'96.
From the World of Outlaws history section:
"1993: Dave Blaney begins to push Steve Kinser, but thanks to Kinser’s
19 victories he is able to clinch his 13th series title by 107 points.
1994:
Steve Kinser and Dave Blaney once again run an epic battle for the
title, with Kinser winning 29 “A” Features and coming out on top for a
14th championship. ... In September, Kinser, who in April had won an
IROC event at Talladega Superspeedway, announces he will spend the 1995
season racing in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series in a car owned by NHRA
legend Kenny Bernstein. ... Steve Kinser’s departure at the end of the
season leads car owner Karl Kinser to begin working with Karl’s son,
Mark Kinser.
1995: Dave Blaney wins 12 events and wraps up his
first Outlaws championship. ... Danny Lasoski races his first complete
season on the Outlaws circuit. ... Steve Kinser returns to the series
after his venture into Winston Cup ends in April. Kinser, now an
owner-driver, wins a series-high 18 events but finishes ninth in
points. ... Cable television network TNN, or The Nashville Network,
announces at the season-ending banquet it will broadcast six events in
1996, including three live telecasts."
You can make the argument that Blaney was aided by Kinser's venture
into NASCAR, but the fact remains that even before '95, Blaney and his
Ford were more competitive with Kinser than anyone else of that era.

The best part of Kinser's NASCAR deal is that HE still has the sponsor, Quaker State. And WHAT year did Dave Blaney win a WoO championship in a Chevy? My records say Blaney has ONE championship, in 1995.

Blaney ran a yellow Vivarin car for a single season after Casey Luna retired. It was owned by Blaney and had additional sponsorship from US Print. The car was a yellow number 10, but they used Chevy power.
He drove that car to a Knoxville Nationals victory in 1997 on a Sunday night after Saturday's race had been rained out.
Like Luna, my dad was a Ford dealer so we were always fans of guys running Fords, in particular the Casey Luna cars. After Luna retired from car ownership, Two Winners ran Ford powered cars with Jeff Swindell. However instead of the proven Shaver Ford, they went with Jack Cornett Fords. They were never able to capture the same success and finally gave up the Ford to return with Chevy. Although they weren't any more competitive with the Chevys either.
Currently Johnn Cressman from South Dakota runs a Ford, and won the Huset's 360 track championship in 2007.
I'd love to see the Roush Yates motor make its way into sprint cars to give us Ford guys someone to cheer for. At the very least it would provide some variety and give new life to the Ford vs Chevy battle in sprint cars.
In midgets and silver crowns, Ford is very well represented.
