Just another day. Would be different if he or any other president for that matter, could make a difference but they don't have the final say so. Unless he wants to go on a wild goose chase for WMD.

Cody, you know I have never agreed with Politics or Religion on this Racing Forum. My position is to each his/her own. But, I'm going to pipe in my 2 cent worth. (notice it was not my 2 cents worth "plurall"wink The Great United States we live in has chosen Mr.Obama as our Chief in Commander.

That is all fine and well, but for you to glorify your position in the Political arena on a Racing Forum both locally, and Nationally. There is something wrong here. How many VOTES where you allowed? (truth be known)

I think you are a good kid who loves Dirt Track racing, and his Country, but Dude, THIS IS A "RACING FORUM" and if you wish to be a Columnist you must be un-biased.

Jus my 2 cent worfh.

lol. aw come on now allen. glorify? lol. doesnt really add up to me....

my position is not glorified in any way. not sure how exactly you mean that. not on any level do i want glory - yeah i am happy with who won - but minus the running mate - i would be just as hopeful if it was McCain. thats kind of where i was comin from with that - we hear so much about how great a day it is because a black man was elected president. whereas that is very historic - that alone dont make it great. or the political party he represented.

the only thing i hope is that he is a great president for everyone. so that much of the division between groups and stuff is narrowed. and i think the entire country needs a great president. if someday we dont look back on yesterday as a great day - thats not good. we need 1-20-2009 to be a good day - if not it could have disastrous consequences. nothing glorifies me at all - hell in fact just the opposite - everything i have seen in the last year - and especially the reaction from most the country since November - actually proves me wrong on many levels. to explain means a few more paragraphs. the heck with that!

not much of a soundoff really. didnt say much about it since he was elected. dont have a heck of a lot to say about it now. thats kind of about it. saw a lot of replies on the national forum - but the first few i read were pretty sensible - some humorous - thats cool. not really trying to get a major controversial thread going.

I had 1 vote. shoulda had 2. its a rather long story.....and not a great one.

actually i feel pretty unbiased at the moment. or maybe in my attempts at being a columnist i should just submit everything to my editor - Allen Crawford - for pre approval lol. (joke).

I am very surprised that OKCfan didnt throw an entire encyclopedia set at Uncle a,Whats up with you these days? Not much racing going on right now a,therefore someone needs to come up with bs or else this forum might fall apart.Last winter at least on the rag I meant gas was out keeping some pissed, some laughing depending on how folks took it.Hell we could talk about David taking a chick to the races in Tulsa once and he had to bring her back early without even a thank you LOL.We'll see what happens the next four years, like I try to tell friends that are in a state of panic"one man can't destroy this country"Have faith, there is little anyone can do about it.The economy will get better, always has.

its because quite a while back Unc mentioned the length of my posts. said while interesting - just not enough damn time to read em. and as my editor-in-chief (HA!)............I gotta heed the advice! lmao.

naw seriously - most the long posts were because i would find several ways to say the same thing/make the same point. that and i just dont get into as much controversial stuff anymore. most pertinent though is i dont have as much time as i used to.......posting like i used to would probably be at a detriment to the rest of my day.

on the downside. man it does make things a lot less controversial dont it? lol. i'm sure we will all manage to find something soon though wink lol

Blah, Blah, Blah, seems most all republicans think the same, I am a Democrat, a buisiness owner and a proud American, it is time for poeple to forget about race and religion and care about America and the well being of all Americans, I am very up to politics and know alot about it, but i will not get into it on here, not now or anytime, our President for whom i voted for will do a excellent job but he can't do it over night and it will take some time to clean up the trash pile that was left behind that he now faces, so with that said forget about what political party you are and all be strong & proud Americans and if all do thier part and work together we will all be one great country again.....

Nicely said.  I am hoping for the same thing.   I'm also tired of my friends that are republican sending me junk e-mails that are putting down a man that has half black blood.  The race deal has been over in this country for a long time.  I urge people to look past color of skin and see a person not a race.    The trash that has to be cleaned up is a huge job for anyone.  Would anybody want it?   Not me.   Pray for this leadership.  Just might surprise all of us if you do.

Cody, what makes you say you should have two votes?  If I didn't know better I'd say you were a republican senator.   LMAO
