Is there any new information on driver Frank Polimeda? From my vantage point on the front straight away, it was a nasty looking series of flips. The Tulsa World mentioned little in there moring article about the races.. Any new information I am sure would be greatly appreciated...

On the broadcast, they mentioned that he was talking to the rescue workers...
This year had some of the worst crashes than any CB I remember.

My dad had a heart attack at the CB last night, and we ended up in the hospital with Frank's family. He was going in for a head scan when we got there. They said he was fine, had 2 black eyes, and he "broke his middle finger". Other than that, he is on his way home.

guess this is the place to say it.
i woke up - felt like shit. threw up twice. went to CVS at 1145pm. ate 4 nauzene tablets and 3 immodiums - went inside the expo - watched 2 features. because of bathroom traffic - went back to the car - drove to arby's and threw up and other stuff there - went back to the expo - went inside - still sick - went back to car and arby's - repeated the symptoms - went back to the expo at 215 pm - sat there and realized it wasnt gonna stop.
so i did the unimaginable.
went straight to the car. drove back to Oklahoma City (Mustang) at 3pm. stopped at stroud - then chandler to vomit some more. made it back to mustang at 530pm. layed in bed in with horrific cramps from dehydration till 6am. drove to and admitted myself in the hospital at 630am.
it was either stomach flu or food poisining. could make a case for both. I ate Appleby's at I-44 and Yale on Friday before the race - and it tasted like shit. i mentioned to my buddy at the time. my dumbass still ate it though - in hindsight i shoulda just told em to bring me some chicken instead. but it coulda been flu. i say that because my temperature was 102.4 at 6pm saturday - and then was 103 even at 630 at the hospital. so - it was either bad timing or appleby's can now be officially titled - Nappleby's....
but after an IV, some Saline, and some finnergren (sp?) - all is better back home in El Reno Oklahoma. just gotta wait another 364 days to try to do it better next time......after all, there is always another race

Applebees sucks.I refuse to eat there ever again. I've known people who worked there and its boil in the bag type crap. Better luck next year and might I advise that you seek out a local taqueria truck (roach coach)in Tulsa next time. In order to find the right type of roach coach you need to find a parking lot at a used tire shop, auto repair shop or laundromat in the barrio then your in business. Good, honest grub with no nonsense. Cheap too. Just be sure to put a crapload of hot sauce and lime on the carne asada. Now I'm hungry...
Cheers!

I have to disagree with cubfan07 on this one. I did look over the welds on this car because it used oversized tubing compared to most mingets there. And the welding appeared to be done by an experienced welder and I saw no signs of sloppy welds. The rest of the car surprised me tho. I understand people running to the beat of a different drummer but this kinda surprised me. Using wire ties and bungie cords and duct tape to hold stuff on just didn`t look right. I hope French is ok and gets well fast. That was a real bad looking crash......

It sure seemed to me that the crashes were worse this year than in the past. More fence repairs, more injured drivers and even a red flag or two. All almost unheard of in the past.
