Any news concerning Allen Ballard's return to the #75 this year? I thought he did a great job last season and hope for the best this year. Good combination of driver and team owners.

How right you are, they seemed so right for each other. Ray and Nellie are two of the finest people you could ever meet (in or out of racing) and Alan is a wonderful kid. And he is still a kid. It seems like he's been around forever, but he's still I think only 21 or 22 years old. He drives hard, and gets a lot out of that equipment and dosen't seem to tear up a lot either. Great kid, great owners, I hope they're still together for '09, and best of luck!

Well, we could probably call up Allan and he would tell us the scoop. But it's more fun just waiting
for the anticipation. I'm guessing he will be running in the Chillibowl, but I don't know if he is or not?
Alan is a great kid. I don't see him often, but let me give you an example of what I think a great kid is.
1) I'm pitting next to Allan at Ventura, during a USAC race, this year. So I have a minute and he comes into the pits from either hot laps or a heat race. So I venture over from our pits and start to clean mud off his car. Well, guess what Alan does. Our car comes in from a VRA 360 Srs Race and he comes over and starts cleaning mud off our car. Now, that my friend is a good kid.
Sincerely,
Larry Otani

Yeah, I have to agree with you guys, Ballard is a class act. My dad and I spoke with him in the pits last year, and he seemed really down to earth and easy to talk to. Good luck to the Stansbery team in 2009.
