You guys are great! Thank you to everyone that has sent emails. I also appreciate all of the nice comments. Gene is a class act, and I'm honored to be able to call him my friend.

Gene is one of the greatest we have in our sport. He has the ability to capture the greatest recorded photographs ever. Ken Coles and Gene-O are True Legends, and cant wait till Gene is inducted into the NSCHOF just like Kenny. Gene is top-notch and between him and Tracy Tally, what more can I say.... When you look under the word LEGENDS in the Webster's you will see a nice color photo of GENE..

If you ever run into this man ask to see his trunk and get some cash out because all he has in there are TREASURES and lots of 'em. Gentle Gene is such a nice guy and so much fun he might actually give photographers a good name in most places. In many years I never heard a negative word uttered in his direction and few have the stories and travels in a part-time pursuit than this man has, miss him a lot. Take It Easy....
PS Oh yeah, an original member of the East Bay Country Club along with Sawyer and a few other nameless souls.....

Gene, Saywer, Kenny Coles, MSPN, even Kevin Eckert were regulars at the ol' EBCC. Those were good days my friend when racers from all over the country would stop by.
