Why do you bash Sprint Car Racing? With a wing without a wing it's still better than anything else out there. Sprint cars aren't that hard to drive. But they're damn hard to drive faster than everyone else on the track!

Gdude i agree all the tire rule will do is put cash in a promoters pockets. Wingless car are more of a race to watch in my opinion. Wingless drivers are just that drivers not pilots.

Is that why primarily winged drivers can jump in a non-wing car and usually make the A, but if you switch it around the non-wing drivers are no where near? I love sprint cars, and I agree that both wing and non-wing races are awesome, but I just don't believe in that your statement is accurate.

Petey, I hope to take you up on that offer this year. Also, we (RebelBubba and I) are going back to the USGP again this year and we're heading out on Thursday evening so we can hit Gas City on Friday night.

I think sprint cars with and without wings are fun to watch race! Passing depends on good track conditions. If you have a well prepared track that is also wide you have great racing no matter what kind of cars race on it. My two favorite tracks in California (Chico and Tulare) are usually well prepared and provide for great racing. No one likes a rubber down, one lane track, but sometimes it happens. We should just be thankful that we have sprint car races to watch!

I would have to say most non winged drivers do not drive a wing car on a regular basis, I love them all wing and non winged but i still beleive a non winged race is much more exciting. If you ever been to sun praire wisconsin to watch midgets you would understand why i think a nonwing driver is a driver and not a pilot. Believe me there is a difference. One of the finest non wing drivers that is no longer with us could also wheel a winged car. Kevin doty.

Hawker: I guarantee once you go to Haubstadt you'll be hooked. The new dirt they put in last year is great. North Vernon is awesome as well but unfortunately they rarely have sprints. The ISW opener was the only sprint race there for a few years. This year USAC will be there twice and one of the KISS races will be held there in May.

What night does Haubstadt run?
I went to North Vernon a few years ago for ISW opening night, it was wicked.

Hey, I would love go see a good non-wing show, I'm just saying I've been to a few and they have been about as exciting as a hobbystock race at my local track. So I'm all for good racing, but the truth is, I've never seen a good non-wing race, and one of them was at the best sprint car track in the history of time and the winged prelim that night was great, not rubber down and there was no passing in the non-wing show.

Last year at Lake Ozark Speedway, the gap between 2nd through 8th place at the finish line for the midgets was .085 seconds!

Nice, my local track is husets, I guess you never get any good non-wing race stories out of there, I saw some of the best drivers at knoxville and I hope I just caught them on a bad night. I'm still thinking I would much rather go to a winged race.
