Billy Reed you asked: What's the NST ?

Let me tell you what it is, it is just another in the LONG LONG lines of failure for Steve Kinser. Add it to the USA sprint, the botched Winston Cup career, the Indy 500 and many other along the lines of the King's too numerous too count failures ... The only thing he is good at he is so eager to leave behind, is the WOO. He despises them wants nothing to do with them and every few years runs off like a spoiled rotten bawl baby screaming and yelling "I'm never coming back here again!!! I hate you A-holes, you screwed me. I'm the King dammit I want more money, I want all the money. You guys suck you cheat, I'm taking my ball and going home." ... then what happens a year down the road he is right back to the WOO, because as I said it is the only thing he does well. Hell the boy Kraigie better get his ass in gear and get back to daddy too real soon, as you can already see he is headed down his fathers same road of failure, he sucks at NASCAR and will never be nothing more than what he already is a drip off of the failure known as Steve Kinser, the most successful WOO sprint car driver in history ... sadly enough though not that he really wanted to be. Most racers would be overjoyed with 1/4 of his success, bot not the ungrateful Steve the King I deserve better than this Kinser.

I find this post interesting & probably true, but this will not sit well with those who insist on puffing the "kings" peter!

Congrats to Cody on a job well done! The 16-year old kid has a great future and will be a force once he figures it all out. For those of you that don't know his background, he's Late Model ace Rick Eckert's nephew and has had a brilliant Micro sprint career. He'll be fun to watch for a long time to come...One race at a time!

Steve will still be a factor this year, nobody on the planet wants to win races as much as he does (except for Tony or Sammy maybe). The reality is that with about 20 years of age difference between him Joey and Donnie they have a great advantage right there. Few people on the planet have ever had the success in their chosen athletic fields like Steve has over the age of 50 though, especially in auto racing, which is why he will go down in history as one of the greatest racers to ever live.

The NST is long gone, the Posse is not at the Grove, did you expect anything else? Reality strikes again but this Cody kid and Lucas finally have given the Posse a future, no matter how long overdue it is. Take It Easy....

the assets of the BIG 3 may have found new teams to help, but they did not forget how to set up a race car for rubberdown conditions.

any word on how many fans are in the stands down there?

surely there is a photographer who has snapped a pitcure...or did all of them retire?

The only question when athletes get past their prime is whether the decline of their skills is going to be gradual or sudden. Steve and Sammy's legends are so strongly entrenched as to have convinced racefans that their age will never catch up with them. It's going to be interesting to see how his season goes. I think after 50 the biggest thing about driving a Sprint Car in the WoO series isn't so much his driving skills which can't be questioned. Getting back in the saddle after a nasty tumble and running up and down the road from February through October is probably going to be more difficult than the driving.

I have never seen Cody race but we've seen his uncle Rick Eckert win a few in the Late Model.

Big Right, there were major rubber down conditions on Wednesday, serious follow the leader, no passing. Crowd was very small Wednesday, been down here since Wednesday.

Thursday saw a bigger crowd and Friday was JAMMED.

Thursday and Friday racing was some of the best I have ever seen, slide jobs, multi groove, awesome stuff, and quality cars that approach a Kings Royal or major event quality. Tim Kaeding winning Wednesday after falling to fourth with an outside move on Joey off turn two, and then Joey's slide job in the same turn only to have TK charge hard of the cushion to deny it, AMAZING hold your breath put two cars where there is not room for one car, whew.

Last night was outstanding as well, even though it didn't look like much change upfront, there was awesome racing. Believe me, I've seen over 20 years of this stuff, I know good when I see it, and I'll say it sucks when it sucks, wednesday sucked, the last two nights are why I spend hard earned dollars to come down here, a great, wide racing surface and an incredible field of cars.

The Darrah kid is going to be good, the others are struggling right now.

Biggest disappointment of the week is the donut trailer is a no show, argh!

good that the fans are getting what they pay for...Darrah was pretty green at the start last year but improved a ton as the season went on.

Then you haven't read much on this board Billy.

Zortman, thanks for the info. on Cody. Here in Oklahoma I have never heard of him but it sounds like he has got it going and a bright future.

Once again "The wild child" started near the tail of the feature (24th tonight) and finished tenth. He also started near the back Thursday night and passed the most cars yet everybody is too busy complaining to give kudos to those who did race hard and show results.

Slidewayz-easy does it. He is and always will be the King of Sprint Cars as King Richard wiil always be the King of Stock Cars. I predict 410 racing will be done with in another 5 years, as nascrap is already done with.
