I was reading Dave Blaney is uncertain about his career in nascar with Bill Davis racing not having a sponser for 2009. I would like to see him back in a sprint car ,,,I,m sure he can still run with the best of them.

9 years might be to long out of it to be competitive with the WoO. maybe two or three years of all star or even just local racing and he'll be just fine

I hope he moves to Wilmot, WI. I'm sure he could run top 10 with the MSA and if he has a good season maybe the IRA next year!

True Dave probably would need to shake the rust off but he would be competitive.

Jayskis .com has the write up on it.

I don't think he has to much rust to shake off guys. He still runs an occasional dirt show here and there, and he was fast time at Eldora during the Prelude. Like all great drivers, it's like learning to ride a bike............Smile

Dave Blaney has a Nationwide win, at Charlotte in the fall race 2 years ago. His best shot at a Cup win came at Atlanta in the spring of 2001. He was dominating the race when the crew botched a pit stop and his left rear wheel came off on the backstretch under green late in the race. This was also the day Kevin Harvick beat Jeff Gordon on the last lap to get a win in Dale Earnhardt's car only 4 races after Earnhardt's death.

3 races after Earnhardt's death. 4th race of the season.

The Germain ride is in the Nationwide Series. I haven't heard anything about a Cup ride for Michael.

Keep this crap on a PAVEMENT board.

Sheesh.

First they take a perfectly good dirt track and pave it, then they hang a damn Wal-Mart sign at the entrance. B.S.

Should be a good series. I give the edge to the Wings in goal, in defense, and experience. I also believe that Detroit has the capability to make it a physical series if they so choose. Special teams will be big for both teams as is usually the case. I think the Wings have the edge here also. I just hope for a good entertaining series with both teams staying healthy so there aren't any excuses when it's over. Detroit in my opinion has played a tougher playoff schedule thus far, albeit not much tougher than Pittsburgs with the exception of Dallas. I like the Wings in 6. But this is one of those match-ups that could be swept by either team, or go the distance.

You seem to be sure about the BDR moves. Have they found a sponsor for the #22?

3 races after Earnhardt's death. 4th race of the season.

Good memory #9. Nascar hasn't been the same since!! It was a big deal - 1st career win on his third start in Earnhardt's car. I was at RRVS watching the outlaws later that year when Nascar was back at Tona and Jr won that race and Blaney was top 5? The crowd absolutely went wild when it was announced that Jr. won that race!
