68TH RUNNING OF THE TURKEY NIGHT GRAND PRIX TAKES PLACE AT TOYOTA SPEEDWAY AT IRWINDALE ON THANKSGIVING EVENING, NOVEMBER 27
Event marks 2008 season finale for TOYOTA Speedway oval track and U.S. Motorsports Calendar of events
On Thanksgiving evening Thursday, November 27 with the 68th Running of the Turkey Night Grand Prix presented by Agajanian Promotions will take place at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale.
The last major event of the season on the United States Motorsports and TOYOTA Speedway calendars, the Turkey Night Grand Prix is one of the highlights of the racing season for local racing fans and for those fans traveling from all over the country to attend the event as evidenced by the number of motor homes parked at the Speedway the week of the event..
The event is expected to attract USAC’s top Midget and Sprint car drivers as well as guest drivers from the NASCAR Sprint Cup series.
Spectator gates open at 4 p.m. and racing is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. featuring races in USAC’s Western Sprint Car series, Mopar Midget National Championship and Ford Focus Midget series.
Tickets for the Turkey Night Grand Prix are available for purchase at the Speedway ticket office, by calling (626) 358-1100 and online at www.toyotaspeedwayatirwindale.com. Auto Club of Southern California members receive a 10% discount off of the purchase of up to four (4) adult general admission tickets for Saturday oval track races when they show their AAA membership card. Restrictions may apply.
Motor home spaces are available at $20.00 per day. No hook-ups are available.
A portion of the night’s proceeds will be donated to Toys for Tots.
