"MAGGIE SPEAKS" TO AUGMENT USAC's 53RD "NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS" JANUARY 9

NOVEMBER 17, 2008 --- Chicago's Maggie Speaks, cranking out non-stop, high energy that often leaves people breathless, will augment USAC's 53rd "Night of Champions" January 9 at the Indiana Roof Ballroom in downtown Indianapolis, Ind.

Honoring the champions of USAC's 2008 racing series plus other dignitaries and special award recipients in the industry, the affair makes its debut at one of Indy's hottest banquet facilities.

The addition of the Chicago cover band should enhance the experience for USAC's honored guests, which will include former champions who will be invited to a special "Champions Pub," reserved specifically for them. Former USAC National driving champions are urged to contact USAC at 317-247-5151 for invitations and ask for Heidi Drake.

Champions of all of USAC's racing series will receive distinctive awards, highlighted by the salute to the 2008 National champions from the K & N Silver Crown, Sprint Car and Mopar Midget series. Drivers achieving the rare USAC "Triple Crown" designation will also be featured.

The music provided by Maggie Speaks is expected to set this function apart from all previous USAC Champions Night events. Their seamless transitions between songs are a trademark and their repertoire spans five decades of music. In addition to their presence during the awards ceremony, they are expected to perform sets afterward for the dancing pleasure of the attendees.

Tickets for this historic night are available by contacting Heidi Drake at the USAC headquarters in Indianapolis at 317-247-5151 or by e-mailing her at [email protected].
